Starting 01 September 2026, seafarers with immediate deployment needs may avail of EXPEDITE PROCESSING for their Seafarer’s Record Book (SRB) and Seafarer’s Identity Document (SID) at the MARINA Central Office only, until further notice.

Certifications will no longer be issued for expedited applications.

Regular applications, meanwhile, are being processed through batch printing, with releases expected approximately one week after processing. A separate Advisory will be issued within the week for those applications affected during systems downtime.

To avail of Expedite Processing, submit your application through the SID/SRB Expedite Portal at https://expedite-sidsrb.marina.gov.ph/ and prepare:

- Request Letter from the employing company
- Confirmed airline e-ticket
- Approved DMW Contract, notarized company contract, or Certificate of Employment
- Confirmed SID/SRB appointment

Applicants must also submit the applicable documentary requirements for SID and/or SRB issuance.

Please note: Expedite Processing is currently available at the MARINA Central Office only while services in MARINA Regional Offices are being restored.

Seafarers with pending appointments for the issuance or renewal of their Seafarer’s Record Book (SRB) and/or Seafarer’s Identity Document (SID) whose Seafarer’s Identification and Record Books (SIRBs) are approaching expiration or have already expired may be granted an extension, provided that they have an immediate departure to board a vessel.

To avail of the extension, qualified seafarers are required to personally visit their selected processing center and present the following:

1. Request letter from the employing company;
2. Confirmed airline e-ticket of the seafarer;
3. Approved DMW contract, or a notarized company contract with the seafarer, or a Certificate of Employment; and
4. Confirmed online appointment for the SRB/SID application.

This measure is being implemented to assist seafarers with immediate deployment amid the current challenges affecting the regular issuance of SRBs and SIDs nationwide.

Further updates on the resumption of regular processing of these documents will be announced by the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) through its official communication channels.

The Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) informs the public that the SID/SRB systems 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐜𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤 on 13 August 2026, resulting in the temporary nationwide suspension of regular SID/SRB processing.

Immediately following the incident, MARINA initiated corrective and security measures in coordination with the DICT and systems providers to secure the infrastructure, protect database integrity, and safely restore normal operations.

Meanwhile, 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 (𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬) 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐀 𝐒𝐈𝐃/𝐒𝐑𝐁 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫.

​Pursuant to Executive Order No. 43, classes at all levels and work in government offices in the Province of La Union are suspended tomorrow, AUGUST 6, 2026, due to Tropical Storm Maymay.
