In line with the TARABAY ti Proyekto initiative, Local Government Units across La Union actively participated in the Training on Local Road and Bridge Inventory – Roads and Bridges Information System (LRBI-RBIS) conducted by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Regional Office from May 26–28, 2026 at J&V Hotel and Resort, Sevilla, City of San Fernando, La Union.
The three-day capability-building activity gathered representatives from the LGUs of Bacnotan, Bagulin, Balaoan, Bangar, Bauang, Burgos, Luna, Naguilian, San Gabriel, San Juan, Santol, and Sudipen, together with personnel from the DILG La Union Provincial Office, underscoring the province’s collective commitment to strengthening local infrastructure governance through innovation and data-driven planning.
The training focused on enhancing participants’ technical competencies in utilizing the Roads and Bridges Information System (RBIS) and Quantum Geographic Information System (QGIS) for accurate road and bridge inventory management—essential tools in effective infrastructure monitoring, planning, and decision-making.
The activity formally opened with a welcome message from PDMU Chief Daryl Gio M. Galvez, followed by the opening message of Regional Director Jonathan Paul M. Leusen Jr., CESO III, who emphasized the vital role of digital systems in advancing responsive and evidence-based local governance.
Through active participation in discussions and hands-on workshop sessions, the attending LGUs demonstrated their strong commitment to improving local infrastructure data management and fostering more efficient, responsive, and sustainable public service delivery.
Through TARABAY ti Proyekto, DILG continues to empower LGUs in building resilient communities through strengthened technical capacities and collaborative governance.
