WCPD EDUCATES COMMUNITY ON SAFE SPACES ACT AND ANTI-VAWC LAW
On May 21, 2026, personnel of the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) of the City of San Fernando Police Station participated in a Gender-Based Crime Response Seminar held in Barangay Dallangayan Este. The activity gathered members of the Barangay Council, Barangay Health and Wellness Volunteers, Barangay Tanods, Lupon Tagapamayapa members, barangay residents, and other staff and employees.
During the seminar, city police officers discussed the salient provisions of Republic Act No. 11313, also known as the Safe Spaces Act or โBawal Bastos Law,โ as well as Republic Act No. 9262, otherwise known as the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children (VAWC) Act of 2004. The discussion aimed to strengthen public awareness and empower the community in addressing gender-based crimes and protecting vulnerable sectors.
