𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿:
Councilor Danielle Bianca G. Ortega informed the Body about the devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck southern Mindanao on June 8, 2026, resulting in at least 35 deaths. Recalling the 1990 earthquake that affected Baguio City and La Union, she emphasized the importance of extending aid during disasters and urged the City to show compassion and solidarity by assisting affected areas in Mindanao. The matter was later referred to the appropriate committee.
Meanwhile, Councilor Joseph Clarence DG. Valero raised public safety concerns regarding the Christmas Tree still standing at the City Plaza months after the holiday season, citing it as a potential hazard during the rainy season, and called for its immediate removal. He also reported a fire incident at the San Fernando City Public Market allegedly caused by negligence and unsafe electrical conditions. To address these issues, he proposed mandatory fire safety seminars for vendors, stricter compliance measures for lease renewals, and immediate inspections of market stalls to prevent future incidents. The concerns were referred to the appropriate committee.

Sa pagdiriwang ng ika-128 taon ng Araw ng Kalayaan ng Pilipinas, isinagawa ang Pagpupugay sa Watawat at Wreath Laying Ceremony bilang pagbibigay-pugay sa kagitingan, sakripisyo, at pagmamahal sa bayan ng ating mga bayani.

Pinangunahan ng Philippine Navy ang seremonya katuwang ang Union Masonic Lodge No. 70, mga Opisyal at Kawani ng Pamahalaang Panlungsod, Veterans Federation of the Philippines, Armed Forces of the Philippines (Philippine Navy, Philippine Coast Guard, at Philippine Air Force), Uniformed Services (PNP, BJMP, at BFP), Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippines, Liga ng mga Barangay, at Department of Education Schools Division.

Tampok din sa programa ang 21-Gun Salute na pinangunahan ng Philippine Navy bilang pagpupugay sa mga bayaning nag-alay ng buhay para sa kalayaan ng ating bansa.

Nagbahagi rin ng kanilang mensahe sina City Vice Mayor Hon. Pablo C. Ortega at City Councilor Kyle Marie Eufrosito Y. Nisce, na nagbigay-diin sa kahalagahan ng pagkakaisa, pagmamahal sa bayan, at patuloy na pangangalaga sa kalayaang ating tinatamasa.
