The National Police Commission Regional Office No. I (NAPOLCOM RO I), under the leadership of Atty. George Aplas D. Daskeo, CESO IV, represented by Atty. Phillip Raymund S. Rivera, Provincial Officer for Pangasinan, attended the Turnover of Command Ceremony for the newly designated Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Asingan Municipal Police Station (MPS) on June 2, 2026, at the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPO), Lingayen, Pangasinan.

The ceremony was presided over by PCOL Dennis L De Leon, Officer-in-Charge of the Pangasinan PPO, and formally marked the assumption of duty of PMAJ Leonard Zacarias as the newly designated OIC of Asingan MPS. His appointment reflects the continued commitment of the Philippine National Police (PNP) to maintaining effective leadership, operational efficiency, and responsive public service within the municipality.

During the event, outgoing Chief of Police PMAJ Ishmart Jose was recognized and honored for his exemplary service, steadfast dedication, and significant contributions to strengthening peace and order as well as fostering positive police-community relations during his tenure.

The turnover ceremony underscored the shared commitment of the PNP and NAPOLCOM to promoting professionalism, accountability, and leadership excellence in the police service, while advancing their mission of building safer, more secure, and resilient communities across Pangasinan.

Ms. Mary Jane C. Cacanindin, Provincial Officer for Ilocos Sur, under the supervision of Regional Director Atty. George Aplas D. Daskeo, CESO IV, attended the Ceremony on the Inauguration of the Narvacan Municipal Police Station (MPS) Perimeter Fence on June 3, 2026. The activity signified the beginning of a vital infrastructure project designed to improve the security, protection, and overall functionality of the municipal police station.

The project is the result of the collective efforts and strong collaboration among the municipal government of Narvacan, the Police Regional Office 1, the Ilocos Sur Police Provincial Office, and various stakeholders committed to support law enforcement initiatives in the municipality. In recognition of the importance of this undertaking, Ms. Cacanindin participated in the ceremony to express NAPOLCOM's support for programs and projects that contribute to the strengthening of police facilities and operational capabilities.

The event highlighted the shared commitment of the Philippine National Police, the local government unit, NAPOLCOM, and partner organizations to foster a secure and conducive environment for police personnel and the community they serve. The NAPOLCOM Regional Office 1, under the supervision of Regional Director Atty. George Aplas D. Daskeo, CESO IV, represented by Ms. Mary Jane C. Cacanindin, Provincial Officer for Ilocos Sur, attended the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Construction of the Ilocos Sur Police Provincial Office (ISPPO) Perimeter Fence on June 3, 2026. The event marked the official commencement of a significant infrastructure project aimed at enhancing the security and development of the provincial police office.

The construction of the perimeter fence has long been a vision of the current Acting Regional Director of Police Regional Office 1, PBGEN Jovencio S. Badua Jr., dating back to his tenure as Provincial Director of ISPPO. Recognizing the importance of this milestone, Ms. Cacanindin attended the ceremony to demonstrate her support for the project and its contribution to strengthening the safety and operational efficiency of the office.

The groundbreaking ceremony underscored the commitment of the Philippine National Police leadership and its stakeholders to providing a safer and more secure environment for both personnel and the public. Through her participation, Ms. Cacanindin reaffirmed NAPOLCOM's support for initiatives that promote institutional development, public safety, and the effective delivery of law enforcement services in the province of Ilocos Sur.

The National Police Commission Regional Office No. I (NAPOLCOM RO I), under the leadership of Atty. George Aplas D. Daskeo, CESO IV, Regional Director, duly represented by Atty. Fidel C. De Vera, Chief Administrative Officer, participated in the 2nd Quarter Regular Development Administration Committee 1 (DevAd 1) Meeting on June 4, 2026 at National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) Regional Office 1, Camp Diego Silang, Carlatan, City of San Fernando, La Union.

The meeting convened key stakeholders from different sectors to address important issues and concerns in development administration within the region. It was attended by representatives from Regional Line Agencies, Local Government Units (LGUs), and Private Sector, who actively participated in the discussions focused on strengthening development administration systems and enhancing transparency in governance processes. The meeting also provided an opportunity for stakeholders to exchange ideas and collaborate to improve coordination and efficiency in regional governance and development planning.

Key matters discussed during the meeting included the endorsement of PMS as Special Non-Voting RDC 1 members, the endorsement of the Foreign Influence and Malign Influence Bill, and the Development Administration Sector Component of the Regional Development Report 2025. The meeting also tackled priority programs for inclusion in the RPMES, the Development Administration Component of the CY 2026 RPMES Project Monitoring Plan and Report, the salient features of Republic Act No. 12001, otherwise known as the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA), Local Government Code, West Asian Conflicts, and the Launching of Bangon Bayan, Panahon Na.
