𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐆𝐔 – 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨.

The Municipal Development Council (MDC) successfully convened its meeting on June 1, bringing together local government officials, barangay leaders, civil society representatives, and department heads to discuss and approve critical development plans that will guide the municipality's growth and progress in the coming years. The meeting was presided over by 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗟𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘇, with the active participation of Punong Barangays from 29 barangays, representatives from various Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), the Sangguniang Bayan Chairperson on Finance and Appropriations, and heads of different municipal offices and departments.

A major highlight of the meeting was the approval of the Municipality's Annual Investment Program (AIP) for Calendar Year 2027. The approved AIP outlines priority programs, projects, and activities that are aligned with the municipality's development goals and strategic priorities. It serves as the basis for funding essential services and infrastructure initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of San Dionisians. The Council likewise approved the Local Development Investment Program (LDIP) for 2027–2029, a three-year rolling investment plan that identifies priority development projects and corresponding funding requirements. The LDIP serves as a crucial planning tool that ensures the effective allocation of resources and the implementation of programs that contribute to sustainable and inclusive local development.

In her message, Mayor Lopez emphasized the importance of collaborative governance and stakeholder participation in the development planning process. She expressed appreciation for the valuable contributions of the barangay officials, CSOs, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, and municipal department heads in shaping development priorities that reflect the needs and aspirations of the community.

The successful conduct of the MDC meeting demonstrates the municipality's commitment to participatory planning, transparency, and accountable governance. With the approval of the AIP CY 2027 and LDIP CY 2027–2029, the local government is poised to pursue strategic investments and development initiatives that will foster sustainable growth and improve public service delivery for all constituents.

Joined by LGU officials, Department Heads, and Employees, the ceremony served as a powerful reminder of the community's commitment to public service, unity, and good governance. As the national flag was raised, the community reaffirmed its dedication to serving the people of San Dionisio with integrity, excellence, and compassion. With a shared vision of a more progressive and resilient community, the people of San Dionisio stand united in their pursuit of progress.

The Municipality of San Dionisio proudly celebrates the successful passing of the PHATSS G2 Verification and Evaluation of Brgy. Naborot, a significant milestone towards achieving a cleaner, healthier, and open defecation-free community.

This accomplishment would not have been possible without the unwavering support and leadership of Mayor Sally A. Lopez, the guidance of Municipal Health Officer Dr. Regine Viel Manderico, the dedication of the PCF Staff, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) Team, Barangay Officials, and the active participation of the community.

Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to Sir Alejandro Santuyo, DMO IV, of the Department of Health (DOH) for the official declaration and valuable support throughout the verification process.

The Municipality of San Dionisio successfully conducted the Presentation of the Draft/Formulated Local Development Investment Program (LDIP) 2027–2029 and Annual Investment Program (AIP) CY 2027 on May 28–29, 2026 at Iloilo City. The two-day activity gathered both the legislative and executive offices such as the department heads, functionaries, and representatives from DepEd- San Dionisio, Municipal Police Station, Bureau of Fire Protection and the Municipal Local Government Operations Office purposely to present, review, and finalize their respective proposed programs, projects, and activities (PPAs) of each office for calendar year 2027 as well as thrusts and directions of the municipality in the next three years.

The activity started with an in-depth discussion about the significance of local development planning process in the local government unit. EnP Mae A. Abeja, Planning Officer III from the Iloilo Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO), discussed the importance of planning in the LGU, emphasizing that proper planning serves as the foundation for effective good governance, efficient delivery of public services and sustainable development mechanisms.

She highlighted the vital role of the LDIP and AIP in ensuring that the municipality’s programs and projects are aligned with the development goals and priorities anchored in the medium and long-term development plans. EnP Abeja also provided valuable insights and recommendations on how to further improve the proposed PPAs and ensure alignment with various planning guidelines and priorities. The interactive discussions encouraged collaboration and strengthened the participants’ understanding and appreciation of the local planning and budgeting process.

The activity was conducted with the full support and guidance of Municipal Mayor Sally A. Lopez, whose commitment to participatory planning and good governance continues to strengthen the municipality’s development initiatives and programs for the benefit of San Dionisians.
