In line with the celebration of MSME Month, Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Negros Occidental North, in collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Negros Occidental – Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP), facilitated a 3-day Skills Training on Bamboo Crafts Making.

The Hiyang-hiyang Malasaga Agrarian Reform Cooperative (HMARCo), based in ARC Katilingban, Talisay City, Negros Occidental, participated in the activity as a beneficiary of the Village Level Farm-Focused Enterprise Development (VLFED) Project. VLFED is a DAR community-based enterprise development program that supports Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) and their organizations (ARBOs) in establishing sustainable, income-generating agri-enterprises at the village level.

The training enhanced the members’ skills in bamboo craft production in preparation for the upcoming establishment of their VLFED project.

DTI reaffirms its full support for this initiative by ensuring continuous technical assistance, capacity-building interventions, and market linkage opportunities to help the cooperative achieve a sustainable and competitive enterprise.
