The International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT), or the World Drug Day, is marked on June 26 of every year to strengthen action and cooperation in achieving a world free of drug abuse.
This year’s theme, “The Evidence is Clear: Invest in Prevention'', is a call to adopt an imperative, scientific, and evidence-based approach that prioritizes prevention and treatment. The campaign recognizes that effective drug policies must be rooted in science, research with full respect for human rights and a deep understanding of the social, economic, and health implications of drug use.
San Carlos City through the San Carlos City Anti-Drug Abuse Council is one with the nation in its celebration to address the global drug problem that touches the lives of millions worldwide.
