In celebration of Summer Saya sa Isla 2026, the Local Government Unit of the Island Garden City of Samal (IGaCoS), through the City Investment and Tourism Office, successfully conducted a 3-๐ซ๐๐ ๐ด๐๐

๐ป๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ถ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ญ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ป๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ด๐๐ 19โ21, 2026, highlighting the islandโs diverse tourism destinations and experiences under the tourism brand, โSamal Island: Dive Into Beauty.โ
The activity gathered members of the media, tourism officers from the Department of Tourism Region XI and Davao del Norte, influencers, and tourism stakeholders for an immersive tour across Samal Islandโs major tourism circuits: the North Eco-Parks Circuit, Central Adventure Circuit, and South Gardens Circuit.
The familiarization tour aimed to strengthen tourism promotion efforts, provide participants with firsthand experiences of Samal Islandโs attractions, and position IGaCoS as one of the countryโs premier destinations. Through the campaign โDive Into Beauty: Feel the Summer Saya sa Isla,โ the initiative also sought to promote the islandโs natural attractions, local culture, culinary offerings, and sustainable tourism programs.
Day 1 featured the ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐๐จ-๐๐๐ซ๐ค๐ฌ ๐๐ข๐ซ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ญ with visits to ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐๐ค๐ง๐ฉ ๐ฝ๐๐ฉ ๐พ๐๐ซ๐, ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ฃ ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ , ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐จ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ข, showcasing environmental conservation, agri-tourism, and marine stewardship initiatives. Participants also toured the cityโs ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐
๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ to learn about the LGUโs environmental management and sustainable waste management efforts. The visit to the ๐๐ค๐ช๐ง๐๐จ๐ฉ ๐๐๐จ๐ฉ ๐ผ๐ง๐๐ (๐๐๐ผ) ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ข๐๐ก ๐๐ช๐๐ก๐๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฉ further highlighted tourism support services and community-based enterprise development. The group also experienced local hospitality at ๐๐๐ข๐๐โ๐จ ๐๐๐๐ง๐๐ฉ ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ฃ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐๐๐ฃ, including a tasting of its award-winning mango tart.
Day 2 focused on the ๐พ๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐ง๐๐ก ๐ผ๐๐ซ๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐ช๐ง๐๐จ ๐พ๐๐ง๐๐ช๐๐ฉ, where participants explored ๐๐ฉ. ๐๐ช๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฝ๐๐ฉ๐ค, ๐๐๐๐๐ข๐๐ฉ ๐๐๐ก๐ก๐จ, ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ช๐ฉ๐๐๐ฃ ๐ฝ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ . The activity also served as a platform to strengthen collaboration among tourism offices, media practitioners, influencers, tourism stakeholders, and local partners in promoting responsible and sustainable tourism in Davao del Norte and the Island Garden City of Samal.
