Samelista tennis team sweeps all-but-one CLRAA tickets

Winning gold runs in the blood of Samaleรฑo smashers.

What could have been an all-out domination of the Palaro Pampaaralan lawn tennis as the Samelista tennisters continued their winning tradition, topping both singles division and boys doubles and bringing home three gold, October 1-3, Limay Tennis Court.

Guaรฑez siblings Camille and Zaijian brought their veteran experience in the lawn and both blanked their opponents Limay Volts and BAPS Panthers in the singles boys and girls finals, 7-0, to register an easy double gold.

Meanwhile, another Guaรฑez, Prince, and his duo John Lloyd Tubaรฑa had to earn the gold, surviving a gritty Limay Volts foe in the secondary boys doubles finals, 7-5.

All the Guaรฑezes and Tubaรฑa, under the mentoring of Sir Carlito De Castro and Sir Dexter Dominguez, have all booked their ticket to CLRAA.

STEM couple wins bronze laces in shotput finals, badminton semis

Love conquers allโ€” even in the sporting sceneโ€” as STEM students John Carl Payang and Roselyn Flores harnessed the power of being each other's inspiration and translated it to two bronze medals from shotput and badminton for the Samal Hawks in the recently held Palarong Pampaaralan, October 1-3, Dinalupihan, Bataan.

Payang managed to qualify in the shotput Magic Eight, and hurled an 8.79-m in the finals, securing him the bronze medal. He was under the coaching of Sir Bryan Silvestre.

Meanwhile, his lady, Flores, settled on the bronze medal in the badminton semifinals after falling to the hands anew of her nemesis from the champion of Dinalupihan Defenders. She was mentored by Maam Catherine Aquino.
