In line with Executive Order No. 018, Series of 2026, the Municipal Government of Salcedo announces the temporary suspension of market rentals and daily cash tickets for April and May 2026.

This measure aims to provide economic relief to our Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) affected by the recent increase in fuel prices.

📢 ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL BUSINESS TAXPAYERS 📢

We would like to inform everyone that payment of business taxes is now open and available.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the delay in the processing and issuance of business permits over the past few days. This was due to unforeseen circumstances, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding.

You may now proceed to the Office of the Municipal Treasurer to settle your business tax obligations and continue the processing of your business permits.

The Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS) 2026 will be open from January 5 to 20, 2026 ONLY at Salcedo Municipal Covered Court.

Please be guided accordingly. To avoid penalties and surcharges, renew your licenses and permits on or before January 20, 2026. Thank you!

Salcedo, an upland town in Ilocos Sur, launched the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ (BSP) Paleng-QR Ph Plus program on December 2.

Salcedo is the first upland town in the Ilocos Region and the sixth local government unit (LGU) in the province to implement the program.

The initiative enables cashless transactions in markets, public transportation, and other businesses by utilizing quick response (QR) codes.

Mayor Grazielle Gironella-Itchon expressed her enthusiasm for the program, stating that she was eager to launch it due to its potential benefits for residents.

“Our vision for Salcedo is to become a leading agri-tourism destination, which means attracting many visitors, so our services should be efficient and quick,” Gironella said. “As the first upland town to launch this program, I believe that the people of Salcedo should always be the first to embrace such beneficial initiatives.” | via Joyah Quimoyog
