The Municipality of Sagay is honored to receive a Plaque of Recognition during the PAHINUNGOD Regional Ceremony, honoring our local champions in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM). This recognition underscores the Municipality’s strong commitment to building a disaster-resilient community through effective preparedness, risk reduction strategies, and coordinated response initiatives.

The award was formally received by Municipal Mayor Joseph G. Uayan, together with Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Jay Ruffy Paul B. Ladao, on December 12, 2025, at Cagayan de Oro City.

This achievement is a testament to the collective efforts of the Local Government Unit, the MDRRM Office, barangay officials, partner agencies, and dedicated volunteers who work hand in hand to safeguard lives, protect properties, and strengthen the resilience of the Sagaynon community in the face of disasters and emergencies.

The Municipality of Sagay remains steadfast in its mission to advance inclusive, proactive, and sustainable DRRM programs toward a safer, more prepared, and disaster-resilient Sagay.
