Our Mandate

The Department of Education was established through the Education Decree of 1863 as the Superior Commission of Primary Instruction under a Chairman. The Education agency underwent many reorganization efforts in the 20th century in order to better define its purpose vis a vis the changing administrations and charters. The present day Department of Education was eventually mandated through Republic Act 9155, otherwise known as the Governance of Basic Education act of 2001 which establishes the mandate of this agency. The Department of Education (DepEd) formulates, implements, and coordinates policies, plans, programs and projects in the areas of formal and non-formal basic education. It supervises all elementary and secondary education institutions, including alternative learning systems, both public and private; and provides for the establishment and maintenance of a complete, adequate, and integrated system of basic education relevant to the goals of national development.

Molocaboc II Elementary School headed by Ma'am Sharon Rose M. Gometon, successfully conducted its Recycled Christmas Tree and Christmas Lantern Contest as part of its commitment to promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices. Learners and supportive parents with there respective advisers from Kinder to Grade 6 showcased their creativity through Christmas trees and lanterns made from repurposed and recyclable materials, demonstrating innovation, resourcefulness, and teamwork. The activity was further highlighted by the presence of Ma'am Gina J. Radan, PSDS and other DepEd personnel who served as judges, ensuring a fair and credible evaluation of all entries. This event reflects the school’s dedication to fostering environmental stewardship while celebrating the spirit of the Christmas season. Our sincere appreciation goes to the teachers, parents, and partners who supported the activity and contributed to its success.

Molocaboc II Elementary School, headed by Ma’am Sharon Rose M. Gometon, joyfully celebrated its first-ever Children’s Day, highlighting activities that nurtured creativity, confidence, teamwork, and the overall well-being of every learner. The celebration was held on November 21, 2025, at the Molocaboc Diot Gym and within the school grounds.

Aside from the essential workshops, the learners enjoyed an exciting lineup of station games and interactive activities designed to spark teamwork, creativity, and joyful learning. Each station offered unique challenges—from relay tasks and puzzle corners to agility games and art stations—giving children the opportunity to showcase their skills while enjoying an unforgettable day of play and friendship.

Laughter, energy, and camaraderie filled the school grounds as learners moved from one activity to another, embracing the spirit of fun, cooperation, and celebration.

Special thanks to the full force of the School Governance Council for their unwavering support and active participation in making this celebration successful. Your dedication, teamwork, and commitment to our learners greatly contributed to the meaningful and joyful outcome of this event.

Molocaboc II Elementary School, headed by Ma’am Sharon Rose M. Gometon, joyfully celebrated its first-ever Children’s Day, highlighting activities that nurtured creativity, confidence, teamwork, and the overall well-being of every learner. The celebration was held at the Molocaboc Diot Gym and within the school grounds.

A key highlight of this event was the active participation of our valued partners from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), led by FSINSP JOSHUA SHANE B ZASPA, Acting City Fire Marshal. They facilitated engaging lectures and hands-on workshops on safety awareness and basic first aid. Joining them was Ms. Trixcia Amm R. Monterroyo, a resident midwife, who further emphasized the importance of first aid in responding to emergencies. Their guidance equipped our learners with essential knowledge and practical skills that foster preparedness and responsible action.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the BFP team for their unwavering commitment and service, as well as to our dedicated teachers and supportive parents who helped make this meaningful event a success.

Molocaboc II Elementary School, headed by Ma’am Sharon Rose Gometon, Teacher-In-Charge, expresses heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all the teachers residing within the area for their immediate response and genuine concern following the aftermath of Bagyong Tino.

The school sustained minor damages, such as fallen tree branches and scattered debris within the campus. Despite the weather’s aftermath, our ever-dedicated teachers extended their efforts in cleaning, securing, and safeguarding the school grounds — a true act of commitment and bayanihan spirit that keeps our school community strong and resilient. ❤️💪
