Mayor Leo Rafael "Bebo" M. Cueva received the Brgy. Puey Bantay Bukid Brigade led by Punong Barangay JR Cobrado for a courtesy call, reiterating the city's strong commitment to environmental conservation.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the community environmental group to discuss their crucial role as mountain and protected area guardians. The Brigade expressed deep appreciation to the Mayor for allocating time to outline his plans for the Protected Area and for his sustained support of their conservation efforts.
Mayor lauded the efforts of the group for protecting the forest in Barangay Puey and ensuring that laws are protected for the good of the community.
The dialogue solidified the partnership between the City and the local protectors, reinforcing a shared commitment to safeguarding Sagay’s vital upland resources with nearly 1500 hectares.
Joining also during the courtesy visit is City Administrator Engr Rodnel H. de los Reyes.
School head of Manarra Integrated School Roxanne L. Pascual and
HLI Focal Pereon Jeralyn Orciso
also joined the meeting raising concerns of the school and requested support for Oplan Kalusugan sa DepEd- Healthy Learning Institution Regional Contest.
