Flushing Activity of the Declogged/Desilted Drainage Systems by TUPAD Beneficiaries of DOLE

The City Government, together with partner agencies and TUPAD beneficiaries of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), conducted flushing operations on declogged and desilted drainage systems in identified areas of Roxas City. This activity supports the City's environmental sanitation and flood mitigation efforts by ensuring the efficient flow of water and promoting cleaner, safer communities.

On June 3, 2026, the victim was successfully located and retrieved at the boundary of Punta Barra and Brgy. Cagay, within an entry canal. The victim was positively identified by a family member, and the remains were properly turned over to the family and concerned authorities.

The successful operation was made possible through the collective efforts of the BFP-SRF, PCG, CDRRMO-RCERT, PNP Maritime Group, PDRRMO-CERT, concerned Barangay LGUs (Cagay, Barra, Talon, Culasi, Cogon, Punta Cogon), Bantay Dagat, Palina Ecopark Association, local fisherfolks, FEROCITY Fire Volunteers, and Kabalikat Civicom.

The operation concluded with the successful retrieval and identification of the victim. The responding agencies extend their sincere condolences to the bereaved family and appreciation to all personnel, volunteers, and community members who contributed to the operation.
