The joint Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Fourth Quarter Meeting was successfully conducted this morning, October 14, 2025, at the Manuel Solidum Hall.

Key agenda items addressed included formal feedback on the sustainable solid waste management seminar and updates on upcoming joint programs, notably the new initiative on Pioneering Youth Leadership in Mental Health Advocacy and Peer Empowerment. Updates and concerns on preparations for the 81st Commemoration of the Battle of the Sibuyan Sea were also discussed during the meeting.

The session concluded with an essential Cybersecurity Awareness and PNPKI Orientation by Sir James Jordan from DICT. Crucially, SK officials and the LYDO immediately applied for their official DICT Digital Certificates, accelerating our shift toward secure digital governance.

𝗔 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗮 𝗭𝗘𝗥𝗢-𝗪𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘 𝗧𝗢𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗥𝗢𝗪! ♻

This morning of October 13, 2025, selected school organization officers of Alcantara National High School, and ALS community students gathered at the ANHS Senior High School Covered Court for the Seminar on Innovative Ways of Sustainable Solid Waste Management.

The event successfully empowered them with modern, zero-waste strategies, led by Resource Speaker Mr. Rodel O. Galindez, Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officer.

We are grateful for the active collaboration of Alcantara National High School Senior High School, headed by Sir Arvie S. Galicha, and ALS Coordinator Ma'am Janice C. San Antonio. Thank you also to Ma'am Jheanerose Lucidos, who delivered an inspirational message on behalf of Doc. Roque F. Falible - School Principal of ANHS.

We appreciate each and every one who attended and participated in our activities, especially in the Youth Innovation for Zero-Waste Tomorrow Challenge, which allowed the students to apply their learning from the lecture and become active agents for environmental protection and solid-waste management promotion.

As a kickstart to October, the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) officially launches the Annual LYDC PPA Evaluation Survey. ✍️

🗣Target Respondents: Youth aged 15-30 who participated in/were beneficiaries of LYDC PPAs in 2025.

🎯Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness, relevance, and impact of our programs, projects, and activities from January 2025, guiding our action plan for 2026.

🗓️ Deadline: October 15, 2025

Note: School stakeholders, as our partners in school-integrated activities, are also invited to participate in our survey to help us improve our services to our youth.

Good news! Tumatanggap na ang DSWD MIMAROPA ng mga indigent out-of-school youth (OSY) para sa Immersion Outreach Program (IOP) sa ilalim ng Kabataan 2000 at Unlad Kabataan Program (UKP).

Kung ikaw ay 18–25 years old, walang asawa, at handang mag-explore ng bagong karanasan, this is your chance!

📅 Tatakbo ang program mula October 13 – November 28, 2025.
📍 Ilalagay ka sa DSWD Regional Office o sa iba’t ibang SWADT Offices sa MIMAROPA.

LOOK: Today, September 24, 2025, the Local Youth Development Council led by SK Federation President Ian B. Paroginog, conducted a final meeting on the upcoming Seminar on Innovative Ways of Sustainable Solid Waste Management at ANHS Senior High School Bldg.

Also present during the meeting were ANHS Senior High School Head Teacher Sir Arvie S. Galicha, ALS CLC Poblacion Cluster Coordinator Ma'am Janice Coching San Antonio, and YES-O Club members.

Paroginog, conducted an urgent special meeting with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer Ma'am Roxanne Montaña Fornal, and School Organization Advisers on a proposed Mental Health Activity for Student Leaders.
