ROMBLON PNP ENSURES SAFE ARRIVAL AND TOUR OF CRUISE SHIP “SH MINERVA”
Romblon, Philippines- Personnel of the Romblon Police Provincial Office, together with the Romblon Municipal Police Station, PNP Maritime Group and Philippine Coast Guard–Romblon, successfully provided security and assistance during the arrival of the cruise ship “SH MINERVA” at about 8:25 AM on May 7, 2026, in the sea waters of Barangay Logbon, Romblon, Romblon.
The cruise ship carried a total of 272 individuals composed of 152 tourists and 120 crew members. Upon arrival, the vessel anchored off the territorial waters of Barangay Logbon before passengers were safely transported via rubber boats to the Romblon Fish Port located at Barangay II-Poblacion, Romblon, Romblon.
The visit aimed to give foreign and local tourists the opportunity to explore the municipality’s historical sites, famous landmarks, pristine beaches, and marble plants, further promoting Romblon as a premier tourist destination.
Security coverage and assistance operations were led by PCPT MARK ANTHONY P ENCARNACION , Officer-in-Charge of Romblon MPS, in coordination with personnel from the PNP Maritime Group and the Philippine Coast Guard to ensure the safety and orderly movement of passengers throughout the activity.
The Romblon PPO reiterated its commitment to supporting tourism-related activities by maintaining public safety and strengthening coordination with partner agencies for the protection of both residents and visitors in the province.
