ROMBLON PNP ENSURES SAFE ARRIVAL AND TOUR OF CRUISE SHIP “SH MINERVA”

Romblon, Philippines- Personnel of the Romblon Police Provincial Office, together with the Romblon Municipal Police Station, PNP Maritime Group and Philippine Coast Guard–Romblon, successfully provided security and assistance during the arrival of the cruise ship “SH MINERVA” at about 8:25 AM on May 7, 2026, in the sea waters of Barangay Logbon, Romblon, Romblon.

The cruise ship carried a total of 272 individuals composed of 152 tourists and 120 crew members. Upon arrival, the vessel anchored off the territorial waters of Barangay Logbon before passengers were safely transported via rubber boats to the Romblon Fish Port located at Barangay II-Poblacion, Romblon, Romblon.

The visit aimed to give foreign and local tourists the opportunity to explore the municipality’s historical sites, famous landmarks, pristine beaches, and marble plants, further promoting Romblon as a premier tourist destination.

Security coverage and assistance operations were led by PCPT MARK ANTHONY P ENCARNACION , Officer-in-Charge of Romblon MPS, in coordination with personnel from the PNP Maritime Group and the Philippine Coast Guard to ensure the safety and orderly movement of passengers throughout the activity.

The Romblon PPO reiterated its commitment to supporting tourism-related activities by maintaining public safety and strengthening coordination with partner agencies for the protection of both residents and visitors in the province.

ROMBLON PPO SERVES WARRANT OF ARREST FOR DIRECT ASSAULT WITH MULTIPLE ATTEMPTED HOMICIDE

Odiongan, Romblon-The Romblon Police Provincial Office, through the personnel of Odiongan Municipal Police Station, successfully implemented a Service of Warrant of Arrest against a 25-year-old male accused at around 11:10 AM on May 5, 2026, at the Odiongan District Jail located in Barangay Anahao, Odiongan, Romblon.

The warrant was served by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Marcia Monina Eraldo Arnuco, Presiding Judge of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Odiongan-Ferrol, Romblon, dated April 30, 2026, for the crime of Direct Assault with Multiple Attempted Homicide under Criminal Case No. OD-7578. Bail was recommended in the amount of PhP36,000.00 for the temporary liberty of the accused.

The arrested individual remains under the custody of the Odiongan District Jail pending documentation and proper disposition.

Provincial Director PCOL REXTON F SAWI commended the operating personnel for the successful implementation of the warrant and reiterated the commitment of the Romblon PPO in ensuring that persons facing criminal charges are brought before the court through lawful police operations.

“Romblon PPO remains steadfast in its commitment to uphold the rule of law and ensure that justice is properly served through the continuous implementation of lawful police operations,” PCOL SAWI said.

CALATRAVA POLICE ARREST WANTED PERSON FOR SERIOUS PHYSICAL INJURIES

Calatrava, Romblon- Personnel of Calatrava Municipal Police Station, Romblon PPO successfully arrested a wanted person in Barangay Poblacion, Calatrava, Romblon at around 9:35 PM on May 4, 2026.

The arrest was carried out by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued on May 4, 2026 by Hon. Gillian S. Dunuan, Presiding Judge of the 1st Municipal Circuit Trial Court of San Andres-Calatrava, for the crime of Serious Physical Injuries under Article 263 of the Revised Penal Code, docketed under Criminal Case No. C-2706. Recommended bail was set at Thirty Thousand Pesos (Php30,000.00).

Following the operation, the arrested individual was brought to Calatrava MPS for proper documentation and disposition.

Provincial Director, PCOL REXTON F SAWI commended the operating personnel for the successful implementation of the warrant and reiterated the commitment of the Romblon Police Provincial Office in ensuring that persons facing criminal charges are brought before the court.
