Rizal LGU Launches 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, Honoring Every βLingkod Bayaniβ
The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Rizal, Kalinga formally kicked off the celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) on August 24, 2026, during the regular flag ceremony held at the Pamahalaang Bayan ng Rizal Liwan West, Rizal, Kalinga. The activity was attended by LGU Rizal employees and personnel from various national line agencies, marking the official opening of a month-long celebration dedicated to recognizing the vital contributions of government workers in public service.
During the kick-off program, Ms. Evaneissa Glenn V. Gazzingan, Admin. Officer IV (HRMO II), presented the theme of this yearβs celebration, βBawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal, at Galing Para sa Bayan.β The theme underscores the important role of every civil servant in advancing responsive, ethical, and effective public service. The Philippine Civil Service Anniversary draws its strategic direction from three reinforcing pillars: Pinalakas na Puso, Pinatatag na Dangal, and Pinatibay na Galing, which collectively encourage government employees to strengthen their commitment, uphold integrity, and continuously develop excellence in the performance of their duties.
A significant highlight of the kick-off program was the establishment of a Commitment Wall, where municipal officials and employees affixed their signatures as a tangible expression of their personal and collective commitment to the ideals of public service. The activity symbolized the shared responsibility of government workers to uphold professionalism, accountability, integrity, and excellence while carrying out their respective mandates. More than a ceremonial activity, the Commitment Wall served as a reminder that every government employee has an important role in building public trust and ensuring that government services remain responsive to the needs of the community.
The kick-off program also unveiled the various activities lined up for the Civil Service Month celebration, designed to promote camaraderie, wellness, talent, community involvement, and appreciation among government employees. These include Parangal: Pagpupugay sa mga Lingkod Bayan, Basketball and Volleyball Games, LGU Got Talent, Zumba, Tree Planting and Tree Nurturing, and the Localized Lingkod Bayani Rewards Program. Through these activities, the LGU Rizal seeks not only to celebrate its workforce but also to strengthen teamwork and foster a deeper sense of purpose among those in government service. As the Municipality of Rizal joins the nationwide observance of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, the celebration serves as a renewed call for every βLingkod Bayaniβ to lead with heart, serve with honor, and perform with excellence for the people and for the nation.
