DRRM-H PROGRAM | Typhoon Preparedness Orientation for Health Workers

In line with the municipality's current Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 due to Typhoon Inday, the Rural Health Unit (RHU) Ramon, through the DRRM-H Program, successfully conducted a Typhoon Preparedness Lecture today for our Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNs), National Health Workforce Support System (NHWSS) personnel, and RHU health personnel.

The activity aimed to strengthen the knowledge and preparedness of our frontline health workers on disaster risk reduction, emergency health response, community preparedness, and the roles and responsibilities of health responders before, during, and after a typhoon.

As the municipality remains under Signal No. 1, the RHU Ramon DRRM-H Program encourages everyone to stay alert, monitor official weather advisories, prepare emergency go bags, secure homes, and prioritize the safety of every family member.

Prepared communities save lives. Together, let us remain vigilant, resilient, and ready.

Ilang oras bago tumama ang Bagyong UWAN sa ating munisipyo, buong puso at tapang na kumilos ang DRRM-H Health Emergency Response Team upang matiyak ang kaligtasan at kalusugan ng bawat pamilya. 💙

Sa pamamagitan ng aming 4 Cluster Services, nagbigay ng prophylaxis medicines laban sa leptospirosis, malinis at ligtas na inuming tubig, AquaTabs para sa tap water, at nutritious feeding supplements para sa mga evacuees — patunay na ang kahandaan na may malasakit ang tunay na sandigan sa panahon ng sakuna. ❤️

Pinangunahan ito ng aming masipag na DRRM-H Manager, Dr. Leo S. Gabriel, kasama ng aming SB on Health, SB Member Melvin Cristobal, sa ilalim ng patnubay at pangangasiwa ng aming mahal na Mayor, Hon. Giovanni M. Vizcarra.

Sa pangunguna ng ating LDRRMO at ni Mayor Giovanni M. Vizcarra, isinagawa ang 2nd LDRRM Council Meeting kasama angating DRRM for Health Dr. Leo S. Gabriel at mga kinatawan ng iba’t ibang ahensya at mga Barangay Captains upang paghandaan ang posibleng epekto ng Typhoon UWON, na patuloy pang lumalakas at maaaring maging Super Typhoon.

Ang pagkakaisa at maagap na aksyon ang susi sa kaligtasan ng ating bayan. 💪🇵🇭
