𝐋𝐄𝐂 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐄𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝟓𝟕.𝟓𝟔% 📈

The August 2026 Licensure Examination for Criminologists (LEC) posted a 57.56% passing rate, with 16,952 out of 29,452 examinees successfully passing the examination.

That's 6.11 percentage points higher than the 51.45% passing rate recorded in August 2025.

Jeb Jobet Remolleno Gabriel of Polytechnic College of Davao del Sur topped the examination with a rating of 93.70%.

Meanwhile, Araullo University ranked first among schools with 200 or more examinees and at least an 80% passing percentage, with 298 of its 303 examinees passing (98.35%).

The August 2026 results also posted a notable improvement over recent second-scheduled LECs, including August 2025 (51.45%), July-August 2024 (49.34%), and August 2023 (32.68%).

THIS IS WHAT 17–18 HOURS A DAY OF REVIEW LOOKS LIKE

Cum Laude graduate Lyen Carel Togonon Garcia didn’t just chase a dream—he pushed through exhaustion, pressure, and doubt to become Top 1 in the Criminologist Licensure Exam (CLE).

“There's no success without hardship. Kung gusto mo, pagpapaguran mo,” Garcia said.

He shared his intense schedule: 13–14 hours/day for the first 2 months, 15–16 hours/day for the next 2, and 17–18 hours/day for the final 2 months.

“Guys, di mo kailangan maging matalino sa board exam. Sipag at determination lang,” he reminded.

SHE NEVER GAVE UP 🥹🏆

Alyssa Eliana N. Bautista fell ill on the second day of the July 2024 Criminologist Licensure Examination (CLE)—but she refused to let it stop her.

The Cum Laude graduate of PHINMA Araullo University went on to top the exam with a 92.10% rating.

Criminology was not her first choice. After failing an entrance exam at a state university, Alyssa turned the setback into motivation and dedicated herself to her studies.

Even while battling self-doubt and illness during the exam, she held on to her dream of becoming a topnotcher.

Her advice? Keep dreaming and never give up. There are no shortcuts to success—the road ahead may be bumpy.

Alyssa also dreamed of becoming a lawyer. ⚖️

Jenny-Hazel Steuernagel proved that one setback doesn’t have to define your story. Instead, she turned the disappointment into motivation and worked even harder for the Criminologist Licensure Examination. 🙌

CLE/ LEC VERIFICATION OF RATING

All examinees, passed or failed, may verify their rating within few working days after the August 2026 Criminologists Licensure Exam (CLE) results were posted.

CLE RESULTS WITHHELD FOR 5 EXAMINEES

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said the examination results of five (5) examinees in the August 2026 Criminologists Licensure Examination (CLE) were withheld pending the final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations.

The PRC did not provide further details on the cases in its announcement.
