“Strengthening local mechanisms towards peaceful, orderly, and resilient communities.”

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), in partnership with the Municipal Government of Quezon and the Philippine National Police (PNP), conducted a Barangay Monitoring Activity in Barangay Malatgao, Quezon, Palawan on May 20, 2026, to further strengthen the operations of the Barangay Peace and Order Committee (BPOC), Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC), Katarungang Pambarangay, and Barangay Information Management System (BIMS).

The activity emphasized the importance of effective coordination, functional local structures, and strengthened barangay mechanisms in upholding peace and order, ensuring responsive governance, and promoting safer communities.
