Based on the latest DOST-PAGASA 72-hour rainfall forecast, residents in listed areas and those nearby or downstream are urged to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions. Forecasts use GSM (100 mm) and WRF (150 mm) thresholds, except NCR (50 mm). Thresholds may be adjusted based on ground conditions.

🌏 Ano ang Liquefaction?

Ang liquefaction ay isang panganib sa panahon ng lindol kung saan ang mabuhangin at basang lupa ay nawawalan ng tibay at nagiging parang likido dahil sa matinding pagyanig. Maaari itong magdulot ng sand boils, ground fissures, at subsidence o lateral spreading ng lupa at imprastraktura.

📍 Makikita ang epekto nito sa Brgy. Tuyan, Malapatan at Brgy. Kawas, Alabel sa Sarangani, gayundin sa Sitio Datal Salvan, Brgy. San Jose at Brgy. Bula sa General Santos City, kasunod ng Magnitude 7.8 offshore Sarangani Earthquake noong 08 Hunyo 2026.

Upang masubaybayan ang mga aftershock dulot ng M7.8 Offshore Sarangani Earthquake at makapagbigay ng mabilis at wastong babala sa publiko, nag-install ng anim (6) na temporary Seismic Stations ang DOST-PHIVOLCS Quick Response Team (QRT) sa Kiamba, Sarangani (KISB); Jose Abad Santos Central Elementary School, Davao Occidental (JASB); Glan Central School, Glan, Sarangani (GLNB); Balut Island, Sarangani (BISB); Santo Niño, South Cotabato (SNSC), at sa Sen. Ninoy, Aquino, Sultan Kudarat (SNAK).

Patuloy na nagmomonitor ang DOST-PHIVOLCS sa mga seismic activity at nagsusuri sa mga impacts ng lindol.
