On September 8, 2026, the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 2 (RACU 2), under the supervision of PCOL Efren L. Fernandez II, Chief of RACU 2, conducted a lecture on Nihilistic Violent Extremism (NVE) during the Campus Safety, Crisis Management, and Emergency Response activity for the students of the Medical Colleges of Northern Philippines (MCNP)-International School of Asia and the Pacific (ISAP) at Alimannao Hills, Peñablanca, Cagayan.

The lecture focused on raising awareness of the nature, characteristics, and potential threats associated with NVE. It emphasized the importance of vigilance, early recognition of warning signs, critical awareness, and proper reporting of suspicious activities to help prevent the spread of harmful extremist ideologies and promote a safer campus community.

“Building safer communities begins with awareness and vigilance. By equipping our students and community partners with the knowledge to recognize potential threats, we strengthen our collective efforts to prevent harmful ideologies and promote a safe environment,” PMGEN Wilson C. The Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Cyber Response Team, led by PCPT Jovanie A. Daniel, Team Leader, under the supervision of PCOL Efren L. Fernandez II, Chief of RACU 2, conducted a lecture on Online Safety, Cybercrime Awareness, and Prevention during the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Youth Camp 2026 held at the Regional Evacuation Center, Brgy. Baliling, Santa Fe, Nueva Vizcaya on September 8, 2026.

The activity was attended by SK members and youth stakeholders. The lecture focused on raising awareness of responsible online behavior, recognizing cybercrime risks, protecting personal information, and practicing safe and responsible use of social media to help address the growing challenges and threats associated with digital technology and online platforms.

𝐏𝐍𝐏 𝐀𝐂𝐆, 𝟐 𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐁𝐈𝐃𝐖𝐀𝐋 𝐍𝐀𝐇𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐍 𝐒𝐀 𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐊𝐀𝐈𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐊𝐀𝐒𝐎 𝐒𝐀 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐁 𝐍𝐆 𝐈𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐆𝐎

Patuloy na pinatitibay ng PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP ACG) ang kampanya nito laban sa cybercrime matapos makapagtala ng dalawang (2) kasong nagresulta sa paghatol sa iba't ibang paglabag sa batas sa loob ng isang linggo mula ika-28 ng Agosto hanggang ika-3 ng Setyembre ngayong taon.

Kabilang dito ang isang (1) kaso ng Slander, sa ilalim ng Article 358 ng Revised Penal Code, na pinangunahan ng Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 5 (RACU 5) sa Virac, Catanduanes, at isang (1) kaso ng paglabag sa Section 5(d) ng Republic Act No. 12010 o Anti-Financial Account Scamming Act (AFASA), kaugnay ng Section 6 ng Republic Act No. 10175 o Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, na pinangunahan ng Eastern District Anti-Cybercrime Team (EDACT) sa Makati City.

Sa kabuuan, nakapagtala ang PNP ACG ng dalawang (2) kasong nagresulta sa paghatol, na nagpapakita ng patuloy nitong pagsisikap na matiyak ang pananagutan ng mga indibidwal na sangkot sa mga paglabag na may kaugnayan sa cybercrime.

Ang mga accomplishment na ito ay bunga ng masusing imbestigasyon, intelligence monitoring, digital forensic examination, cyber patrolling, at mahigpit na koordinasyon ng PNP ACG sa mga complainants, at iba pang law enforcement agencies upang matiyak ang agarang pagpapatupad ng batas at paghahatid ng hustisya sa cyberspace.

Alinsunod ito sa direktiba ni Chief, PNP, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez, Jr., na paigtingin ang kampanya laban sa cybercrime at tiyakin ang mabilis at epektibong pagpapatupad ng batas sa cyberspace.

Samantala, binigyang-diin ni PNP ACG Director, Police Major General Wilson C. Asueta, na ang mga accomplishment na ito ay patunay ng dedikasyon ng PNP ACG sa pagpapatupad ng batas at pagpapanatili ng isang ligtas at mapagkakatiwalaang digital space.

"Patuloy naming hinihikayat ang publiko na maging mapanuri at responsable sa paggamit ng internet. Ang maagap na pag-uulat ng mga kahina-hinalang aktibidad online ay mahalaga upang maiwasan ang pagdami ng mga biktima at mapabilis ang paghahatid ng hustisya," pahayag ni PMGEN Asueta.

The Ilocos Norte Provincial Cyber Response Team, led by PCPT Mark Jhosen M. Macaspac, Team Leader, under the supervision of PCOL Greg T. Guerrero, Chief of RACU 1, served as Resource Speaker during the Orientation on Active Threat Preparedness and Response in Schools attended by teaching and non-teaching personnel of Solsona National High School, Brgy. Maananteng, Solsona, Ilocos Norte, on September 8, 2026.

The activity aimed to strengthen awareness, preparedness, and vigilance against online threats affecting schools, while emphasizing proper reporting, coordination, and timely response measures to help prevent incidents and ensure the safety and security of the school community.

PMGEN Wilson C. Asueta, Director, PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, underscored that “Awareness, preparedness, and vigilance are essential to keeping our schools and communities safe. Through responsible digital behavior and timely coordination, we can strengthen our ability to prevent and respond to emerging threats.”
