The Quezon City Public Library began in the 1940s as a small library unit, established through a partnership between the National Library of the Philippines and the Quezon City government.

On June 3, 2026, the Quezon City Public Library (QCPL) – Sta. Lucia Branch held a fun and interactive coloring activity about the animal world. Young learners enthusiastically showcased their potential and creative minds.

The library was filled with vibrant ideas, imagination, and laughter. The children’s energy was remarkable—their beautiful masterpieces lit up the room along with their genuine smiles. Each artwork highlighted incredible talent and a deep love for animals. 🐾🎨

The library transformed into a radiant hub bursting with colorful inspiration. It wasn’t just coloring—it was an adventure! 🖍️🌟

📚✨ Storytelling sa QCPL – Sta. Lucia Branch! ✨📚

Noong Hunyo 3, 2026, ang mga batang mula sa komunidad ay nagtipon sa Quezon City Public Library (QCPL) – Sta. Lucia Branch para sa isang masayang pagkukuwento. Itinampok ang akdang pambata na “Naging Leon si Kuting” ni Eugene Y. Evasco, na iginuhit ni Dominic Agsaway. 🐱🦁

Ang kuwento ay tungkol sa isang kuting na natutong maging matatag at mabuti, sa halip na marahas. Sa paggabay nina Pagong at Matsing, natutunan ni Kuting na ang tunay na tapang ay nakikita sa kabutihan, pagpapakumbaba, at pagtulong sa kapwa. ❤️

Ang aktibidad na ito ay paalala na ang mga bata ay madaling maimpluwensiyahan ng kanilang kapaligiran, ngunit sa tamang paggabay ng matatanda, matututo silang pumili ng kabutihan at maging tunay na matapang. 🌟

Ang Quezon City Public Library (QCPL) ay lubos na nagagalak na maibigay kay Mr. Francis Joseph “Kiko” Aquino Dee, apo ni dating Pangulong Maria Corazon Cojuangco Aquino, ang aklat na The Extraordinary 85 Women. Ipinagkaloob ito ng QCPL bilang pagkilala sa mga kababaihang nagbigay ng karangalan sa ating lungsod, kabilang na ang dating pangulo na si Cory Aquino.

Kasabay ng paggawad ng parangal, nagkaroon din ng pagkakataon si Mr. Dee na makapaglibot sa iba’t ibang pasilidad at koleksyon ng aklatan, kung saan nasilayan niya ang mga programang handog ng QCPL para sa mga mambabasa at mananaliksik.

Si Cory Aquino ang unang babae at ikalabing-isang Pangulo ng Pilipinas. Tinagurian siyang “Ina ng Demokrasya” dahil sa kanyang mahalagang papel sa EDSA People Power Revolution noong 1986. Kinilala siya ng Time Magazine bilang Woman of the Year noong 1986 at isinama rin sa listahan ng mga most influential Asians of the 20th Century. Bukod dito, pinarangalan din siya bilang Outstanding Citizen of Quezon City noong 2002.
