The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Tandang Sora is the duly constituted youth council established under the Local Government Code of the Philippines to serve as the representative body of the youth sector within the barangay. Guided by its mandate, the council is committed to advancing the interests, welfare, and holistic development of the young people of Tandang Sora through the formulation and implementation of programs, projects, and activities that foster leadership, active participation, and community involvement. In partnership with various stakeholders, the SK of Barangay Tandang Sora strives to provide opportunities for education, health and well-being, cultural enrichment, sports development, environmental protection, and values formation. By empowering the youth and encouraging their active role in nation-building, the council upholds its vision of producing responsible, proactive, and socially aware young leaders who contribute meaningfully to the progress of the barangay and the larger community.

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Tandang Sora would like to inform everyone that Episode 2 of “Boses ng Kabataan: A Voter’s Education Webinar,” originally scheduled for August 29, 2026 (Saturday) at 6:00 PM, is POSTPONED due to the prevailing severe weather conditions.

This decision is being made to prioritize the safety and well-being of our participants, speakers, moderators, production team, and the entire community. We encourage everyone to remain vigilant, monitor official weather advisories, and avoid unnecessary travel or outdoor activities while severe weather conditions persist.

An opportunity to continue, persevere, and move closer to your dreams. 💙

The Presidential Assistance Under the Socio-Civic Project Fund Project: BAWAT BARANGAY, MAKIKINABANG! Scholarship Program is now accepting applications from qualified college students of Barangay Tandang Sora for Academic Year 2026–2027.

This initiative aims to provide educational assistance to deserving students, particularly those who may need additional support in pursuing and completing their college education.

📌 QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Incoming fourth-year or graduating college students for AY 2026–2027
• Must be a bona fide resident of Barangay Tandang Sora
• Preference may be given to students from vulnerable households or those at risk of dropping out
• Belong to a family with no member who has completed tertiary education
• Students enrolled in five- or six-year programs may qualify, provided that they are expected to graduate within AY 2026–2027
• Must not be a recipient of any other scholarship program from government agencies, Local Government Units (LGUs), or other state-funded scholarship programs

📄 REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Applicants are required to submit complete and updated copies of the following:

• Proof of Residency
• Certificate of Enrollment/Registration
• Latest School ID
• Latest Schedule of Classes
• Previous Grades / Last Semester’s Grades
• Letter of Intent (Personal Letter)

🌍 S.D.G. YOUTH LAB 2026: Sustainable Development Goals Youth Learning & Action Bridge

This August 22, 2026, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Tandang Sora proudly presents the S.D.G. YOUTH LAB (Sustainable Development Goals Youth Learning & Action Bridge): Sustainable Development Goals Symposium 2026—a dynamic gathering designed to empower young people to learn, collaborate, create, and take action for a more sustainable future.

More than just a symposium, S.D.G. YOUTH LAB is a bridge between knowledge and action. It is a space where students, youth leaders, and organizations can deepen their understanding of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and discover how these global goals can inspire meaningful solutions within our own communities. Through interactive discussions, creative expression, intellectual challenges, and innovation-driven activities, participants will have the opportunity to transform ideas into initiatives that create real impact.
