That was the core question at the 𝐀𝐈 𝐅𝐔𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐔𝐌: 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐈, last August 29 at SM North EDSA Annex!

Our room was packed with MSMEs sharpening their operations, administrative staff leveling up their financial decision-making, and fresh graduates preparing to lead the modern workforce.

Together, we explored:

The 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲, 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐂𝐓 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐮, recently concluded a two-day technical training on Data Management and Visual Analytics on August 26–27, 2026 (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM).

A total of 30 government personnel gained hands-on experience in elevating routine administrative reporting into high-impact visual storytelling. Special thanks to our resource speaker, Mr. Jonathan B. Payawal, for sharing invaluable expertise on data integrity, dynamic BI tools, and data-backed policy formulation.

Kudos to all our government participants for stepping up to bridge the gap between data collection, public service tracking, and real-time strategic insights!

Take a look back at our free face-to-face session on August 29 at the SM Government Service Express (SM North EDSA Annex, Lower Ground Floor). MSMEs, administrative staff, and fresh graduates joined us to master Digital Productivity Essentials: Multimedia Presentation Fundamentals (Module 4).

MADRID — The DICT-Caraga, through its Surigao del Sur Provincial Office, in partnership with the NIA Cantilan Irrigation System Office, successfully conducted a three (3)-Day Digital Literacy Training for thirty-eight (38) members, officers, and representatives of various Irrigators’ Associations (IAs) under the NIA Cantilan Irrigation System at the NIA-CANTIS Conference Room in Madrid, Surigao del Sur from August 25-27, 2026.
Aimed at enhancing institutional governance, streamlining record management, and fostering digital transformation in local agricultural operations.
The capacity-building activity equipped local agricultural leaders with essential ICT skills pursuant to Republic Act No. 10844. Participating representatives from local associations and entities—including TISIBUNPA IA, Palasao IA, LIGNISA IA, Tublikon IA, PAHIHANTA IA, PARMATICA IA, BUGSAY IA, LIQUISA IA, Calagdaan IA, LTMS IA, BUMM IA Inc., and NIA-CANTIS administrative staff- engaged in hands-on workshops covering computer fundamentals, word processing for association reporting, spreadsheet techniques for financial tracking, email communication, and PNPKI awareness.
The initiative highlights the importance of digital literacy in modernizing rural governance and agricultural management throughout the province; the training gave participants practical applications suited to the associations' workflows, which allowed IA officers to shift from traditional methods of record-keeping to secure digital ones and to encourage transparent communication within their own communities.
Moving forward, DICT Caraga will continue to commit itself to enhancing cooperation with local agricultural offices to provide specialized ICT follow-up modules, thereby further reducing the digital divide and helping establish farming communities in the Caraga area that are future-ready and technologically empowered.

The Department of Information and Communications Technology Region 2 is currently conducting the Day 1 training for elementary school learners in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, as part of the TECHQUEST: Robotics and Rubik’s Challenge for Academia 2026.
The training is being conducted simultaneously at the DTC Cagayan - San Gabriel and DTC Cagayan - Carig Sur, providing participating learners with hands-on learning experiences in robotics, problem-solving, critical thinking, and technology.
The activity is made possible through the collaboration and support of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tuguegarao City, in partnership with the Department of Education, whose collective efforts help advance digital learning and technology education among young learners in the city.
The training was also graced by DICT Assistant Secretary and Concurrent Regional Director, Engr. Pinky T. Jimenez, highlighting the Department’s continued commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering innovation through technology.
Together with our partners, DICT Region 2 remains “Always Connected and Always Ready to Serve.”

From August 26–28, 2026, A 3-days Training on 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬, focusing on Word and Excel, It was conducted at the Municipal Hall Conference Room, Brooke’s Point, Palawan.
The training brought together barangay officials and secretaries from Brooke’s Point, along with the BPSAT Barangay Training Coordinator, strengthening their digital skills for more efficient and productive public service.
