ABS-CBN NEWS: At least one House member raised concerns over the number of JOs and COS, despite vacant plantilla positions. “Gumawa tayo ng sariling batas para maprotektahan ang mga empleyado, pero parang nagiging second class citizens ang mga JOs and COS mismo sa gobyerno,” BH Party List Rep. Robert Nazal said.

PANTAY NA PAGTRATO, IBIGAY SA OVP -REP. NAZAL

Nanawagan si Bagong Henerasyon Partylist Rep. Robert Nazal na ibigay sa Office of the Vice President ang kaparehong courtesy na ipinakita ng komite sa Office of the President sa budget briefing nito kahapon. Kung kinilala ang Office of the President bilang co-equal branch of government at ipinasa ang budget nito nang walang masusing pagtatanong sa hearing, dapat ganoon din ang maging pagtrato sa OVP, ani Nazal.

Dagdag pa niya, hindi naman lumaki ang panukalang budget ng OVP at mas mababa pa ito kaysa sa NEP.

Para kay Nazal, hindi ito tungkol sa special treatment, kundi sa pagiging patas at consistent sa lahat ng co-equal branches of government, anuman ang kanilang kasalukuyang sitwasyon.

FMR AT IRRIGATION, HINDI DAPAT KAPOS ANG PONDO — REP. NAZAL

Kung kulang ang farm-to-market roads at hindi sapat ang irrigation, mas lalong nahihirapan ang mga magsasaka na mapataas ang produksyon, mabawasan ang gastos, at maihatid ang kanilang ani sa merkado.

Sa pagtalakay sa 2027 proposed budget ng Department of Agriculture, binigyang-diin ni Bagong Henerasyon Partylist Rep. Robert Nazal na may 55,050-kilometrong FMR deficit, habang bumaba sa P16 bilyon ang nakalaang pondo para rito mula P33 bilyon ngayong 2026.

Ayon sa DA, kulang ang kasalukuyang pondo para makagawa ng makabuluhang progreso sa backlog.

Sa irrigation naman, iginiit ni Rep. Nazal na hindi dapat nauuwi sa kalahating proyekto ang budget adjustments dahil mismong mga magsasaka ang maaapektuhan. Aniya, “we can’t fund half of the dam or half of the irrigation system.” Para kay Rep. Nazal, dapat tiyaking sapat ang pondo upang makumpleto at mapakinabangan ang mga proyektong mahalaga sa produksyon at kabuhayan ng mga magsasaka.

7-DAY PARENTAL LEAVE PARA SA SOLO PARENTS, DAPAT IPATUPAD!

Sa pagdinig natin sa FY 2027 proposed budget ng Civil Service Commission, iginiit ko na dapat matiyak ang 7-day parental leave ng qualified solo parents na JO at COS workers sa gobyerno. Kinumpirma ng CSC na kinikilala nito ang benepisyo at muling ipapaalala ang policy sa mga government agencies para sa maayos na pagpapatupad.

Karapatan ito ng mga solo parent na nagsusumikap araw-araw para sa kanilang pamilya. Sisiguraduhin nating ang benepisyong nakasaad sa batas ay hindi lamang mananatili sa papel, kundi tunay na maabot ng mga kwalipikadong solo parent.

POLITIKO: House Assistant Minority Leader and Bagong Henerasyon party-list Rep. Robert Nazal called on the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) to better inform the public about the benefits and programs provided by the government. Nazal said that many Filipinos are unaware that they can get assistance from the government.

“Kasi nga, marami pong magandang programa yung gobyerno katulad nung YAKAP. Pero kami, pag umiikot kami, ang daming walang alam. Hindi nila alam kung ano yung mga programa na yan,” said Nazal during the budget hearing.
