Key Responsibilities:

2. Information Systems Researcher I – SG 10

Key Responsibilities:

Perform programming and systems-related tasks;

3. Laboratory Inspector II – SG 10

Must be a BS in Agriculture graduate.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct laboratory work;

4. Laboratory Inspector II – SG 10 (Second Opening)

Must be a BS in Agriculture or Agricultural Biotechnology, Major in Plant Pathology graduate;

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct laboratory work;
Assist in seed testing;
Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

5. Chauffeur III – SG 7

Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate government or agency vehicles;
Transport personnel, officials, visitors, and materials;
Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

1. Draftsman III – SG 11

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to plan, design, and oversee construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure projects.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and project timelines.

2. Information Systems Researcher I – SG 10

We need a programmer who is organized, output-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

3. Laboratory Inspector II – SG 10

Perform laboratory work, assist with seed testing, seed certification, plant material certification, and other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Must be a team player and detail-oriented.

4. Computer Operator I – SG 7

Assist in preparing, monitoring, and documenting financial and procurement transactions for the NSQCS Central Office and Regional/Satellite units.

Ensure timely budget utilization, accurate tracking, and compliance with reporting requirements.

5. Chauffeur III – SG 7

Operate government/agency vehicles to safely transport personnel, officials, visitors, and materials.

Upang higit pang mapalakas ang kalidad ng binhi sa bansa, muling nagsagawa ang Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI), sa pangunguna ng National Seed Quality Control Services (NSQCS) Region III at Central Office, ng “Training on Varietal Purity Test on Rice Seed Certification for Seed Analysts” noong Setyembre 8–12, 2025 sa PhilRice-Central Experiment Station, Maligaya, Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija.

Dinaluhan ito ng 40 seed analysts mula sa iba’t ibang ibang regional at satellite offices ng BPI-NSQCS sa buong bansa. Sa nasabing pagsasanay, tinalakay ang kahalagahan ng seed certification at mga pamantayan sa pagsusuri ng in**ed at hybrid rice varieties. Kabilang din sa mga paksa ang field inspection techniques, grow-out test establishment, sampling and sample preparation, varietal characterization, at varietal purity test upang madagdagan ang kanilang kaalaman sa pagsusuri ng tamang kalidad ng binhi at mapanatili ang tamang pagkakilanlan at katangian nito.

Bukod sa serye ng mga lektura, nagsagawa rin ng field practicum at laboratory exercises kung saan nagkaroon ng pagkakataon ang mga varietal seed analysts na aktuwal na magsuri at maghambing ng agronomic at morphological traits ng mga NSIC approved rice varieties ayon sa NSIC registration data.

Sa pagtatapos ng programa, muling pinagtibay ng BPI-NSQCS ang kanilang adbokasiya na maghatid ng de-kalidad at mapagkakatiwalaang binhi sa mga magsasaka, na mahalagang hakbang tungo sa mas mataas na ani at masaganang agrikultura para sa bagong Pilipinas.

2. Licensed Agriculturist;

3. At least 5 years of experience in managing Agricultural Development Projects;

4. With expertise in preparing project proposals, project packaging, and completion reports for the Department of Agriculture (DA), Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and other relevant funding agencies;

5. Strong background in social and applied research, with the ability to provide data
analytics and interpretation;

6. Proficient in planning, monitoring, and evaluation tools;

7. Able to provide strategic suggestions and recommendations for overall project management;

8. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills;

9. Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.

BPI-NSQCS, mas pinalakas ang kakayahan ng mga rehiyon sa pagsusuri ng binhi

Matagumpay na naisagawa ng Bureau of Plant Industry – National Seed Quality Control Services (BPI-NSQCS) ang “Training on Seed Health Testing for Seed Analysts” noong Setyembre 1–5, 2025 sa BPI-NSQCS Central Office, Quezon City.

Dumalo ang 27 seed health analysts mula sa central, regional, at satellite offices ng NSQCS. Sa loob ng limang araw, tinalakay ang mga paraan sa pagsuri ng mga fungi, bacteria, at nematode sa binhi na nagdudulot ng sakit sa pananim. Bukod dito, itinuro din ang makabagong teknolohiyang dinibelop ng IRRI—ang paggamit ng Loop-mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP) para sa detection ng Burkholderia glumae na nagdudulot ng sakit na bacterial panicle blight (BPB) ng palay.

Layunin ng pagsasanay na palakasin ang kakayahan ng mga seed health analysts mula sa regional at satellite seed health laboratories sa pagsusuri ng mga sakit ng binhi at matiyak ang suplay ng malulusog at de-kalidad na binhi para sa mga magsasaka.

Limang (5) Araw na Pagsasanay sa In**ed Rice Seed Production at Certification para sa mga Seed Inspector

Noong Agosto 11–15, 2025, matagumpay na isinagawa ng Bureau of Plant Industry–National Seed Quality Control Services (BPI-NSQCS) ang 5-araw na pagsasanay sa Sonrisa Farm, Magarao, Camarines Sur (Region V). Layunin ng pagsasanay na palakasin ang kaalaman at kasanayang teknikal ng mga seed inspector upang matiyak ang mataas na kalidad ng in**ed rice seeds para sa ating mga magsasaka.

Mga Tampok sa Pagsasanay:
• Produksyon ng In**ed Rice Seeds – mula sa pagpili ng barayti hanggang sa wastong pamamahala ng tanim
• Mga Pamamaraan sa Seed Inspection at Certification – mga polisiya, alituntunin, at tamang pamamaraan ng field inspection
• Pinakabagong Pamantayan sa Seed Quality Assurance – nakahanay sa pambansang programa at RCEF
• Hands-on Practicum – field inspection, rouging, seed sampling, at laboratory testing (moisture content, purity, germination, varietal purity)
• Makabagong Inobasyon – paggamit ng Rice Seed Information System at GrowApp para sa mga seed inspector

Kabilang din sa programa ang mga lektura mula sa eksperto, mga gawaing praktikal sa bukid at laboratoryo, at mga collaborative workshop na idinisenyo upang bigyan ang mga kalahok ng sapat na kasanayan para sa epektibong seed certification at inspection. Ipinapaabot namin ang taos pusong pasasalamat sa aming mga kagalang-galang na resource speakers, at masisipag na kalahok mula sa iba’t ibang LGU, OPAG, at NSQCS Regional Offices na aktibong lumahok sa buong pagsasanay. Muli, ito ay patunay ng aming patuloy na pangako sa pagtitiyak ng de-kalidad na binhi, mas mataas na ani, empowered na mga magsasaka, at isang food-secure na Pilipinas.

Ang Bureau of Plant Industry - National Seed Quality Control Services, ay nagsagawa ng pagsasanay sa In**ed Rice Seed Production and Certification for Seed Inspectors nuong August 4-8, 2025 sa Negros Occidental.

Ang isang linggong pagsasanay na ito ay naglalayong bigyan ang mga seed inspectors ng malalim na kaalaman at praktikal na kasanayan sa produksyon, inspeksyon, at sertipikasyon ng mga binhi. Nakatuon ito sa pagpapaigting ng teknikal na kakayahan ng mga seed inspector upang mas maging maayos nilang magampanan ang kanilang tungkulin at makapagbigay ng de-kalidad na serbisyo sa ating mga seed grower.
