INDEPENDENCE DAY MESSAGE OF PBGEN ADEN T LAGRADANTE

Today, as we mark the 128th Philippine Independence Day, we look back with deep gratitude at the courage and sacrifices of our ancestors. They fought bravely and gave their lives so that we could live in freedom today.
Their struggle gave birth to our sovereignty, our democracy, and the rights every Filipino now holds dear. The independence they won is not just a historical event—it is a continuous reminder for us to protect our freedom, justice, and national dignity.

The existence of our own Constitution, our ability to rule ourselves and regulate the security, fiearms, and explosive industries-we exist and we enjoy these privileges with the blood of our forefathers who paid the price.

Here at the Civil Security Group, we understand that freedom comes with a deep sense of responsibility. In our duty to regulate and oversee the said industries and other civil security matters, our main goal remains clear: to ensure these rights are exercised safely, responsibly, and within the bounds of the law.

To my CSG Family, true patriotism is not limited to remembering the past; it is about serving our country faithfully every single day. Let us honor our heroes by bringing integrity, professionalism, and real accountability to our work, doing our part to build a safer and more secure Philippines.

On behalf of the Civil Security Group, I wish every Filipino a meaningful Independence Day. May the spirit of freedom keep us united as we work toward peace, safety, and national progress.

Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! Mabuhay ang Sambayanang Pilipino!

PNP LEADS ORDERLY FI****MS TURNOVER AND SAFEKEEPING IN DAVAO CITY

The Philippine National Police (PNP), through its Civil Security Group (CSG), successfully carried out a structured and orderly fi****ms safekeeping process in Davao City on June 11, 2026, highlighting its continuing efforts to strengthen compliance with fi****ms laws while ensuring smooth and respectful coordination with stakeholders.

The activity was led by the Regional Civil Security Unit 11 as part of the implementation of the Notice and Order of Revocation of License to Own and Possess Fi****ms (LTOPF) and firearm registrations. It involved the inventory, verification of serial numbers, and physical inspection of fi****ms prior to their voluntary turnover for safekeeping.

The fi****ms were voluntarily turned over from the residence associated with Senator Ronald M. Dela Rosa in Barangay Maa, Davao City, through his authorized legal representative, in coordination with personnel of RCSU 11. The process was conducted in an orderly manner, ensuring that all procedures were properly observed and fully documented.

A total of twenty (20) fi****ms were accounted for, properly recorded, and issued with corresponding acknowledgment receipts before being transported to the RCSU 11 office at Camp Sgt. Quintin M. Merecido, Buhangin, Davao City, where they are now under official custody for safekeeping in accordance with PNP rules and procedures.

The PNP underscored that the activity reflects a balanced approach to enforcement—firm in applying regulations while ensuring due process, transparency, and proper coordination with concerned parties. It also highlights the importance of structured compliance mechanisms in maintaining public trust in fi****ms regulation.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., said the activity reflects the organization’s steady commitment to lawful, orderly, and respectful implementation of policies.

“Ang mahalaga ay malinaw at maayos ang pagpapatupad ng batas, na may paggalang sa proseso at pakikipag-ugnayan sa lahat ng panig. This underscores our continuing effort to ensure that enforcement is carried out with professionalism, transparency, and due regard for proper procedures,” the Chief PNP said.

He added that the PNP continues to strengthen its internal systems to ensure consistency and integrity in the enforcement of fi****ms laws nationwide.

The initiative supports the PNP Focused Agenda under Enhanced Managing Police Operations, promoting disciplined, efficient, and accountable implementation of regulatory functions. It also aligns with the governance direction of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. toward strengthening institutional processes for public safety and security.

The PNP reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining transparent and well-coordinated fi****ms regulatory processes, noting that adherence to proper procedures helps build public confidence in law enforcement institutions.

This undertaking forms part of the continuing efforts of the organization toward a more responsive and service-driven police force under the guiding principle of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman,” reflecting a steadier, process-driven approach to public service.
