The National Security Council (NSC), through its Strategy Formulation and Development Branch, conducted a Workshop on Public Safety, Peace, and Justice Agenda for participants of the Public Safety Officers Senior Executive Course and Public Safety Officers Advance Course at the National Police College, Silang, Cavite. This provided a platform for public safety leaders to discuss key issues in peace, security, and justice, and their role in promoting public safety across the country.
Anchored on the National Security Policy (NSP) 2023โ2028 and the National Security Strategy (NSS) 2024, the workshop highlighted the governmentโs strategic priorities in safeguarding national interests, strengthening institutions, and fostering a secure and resilient society. Participants explored approaches to translating national security objectives into practical initiatives, emphasizing the interconnected nature of public safety, justice, and governance.
Through collaborative discussions and knowledge-sharing, the workshop reinforced the importance of interagency coordination, good governance, and community engagement. The NSC remains committed to ensuring that public safety practitioners and key stakeholders are equipped with the knowledge and tools to contribute effectively to the Philippinesโ overarching security agenda, recognizing that national security is a shared responsibility.
