📢 Promoting Inclusive and Gender-Responsive Communication in BFAR

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Region X successfully conducted an Orientation on the Use of Gender-Fair Language, Images, and Content, reinforcing the Bureau's commitment to gender equality and inclusive communication.

The activity provided participants with a deeper understanding of gender-fair and empowering content, balanced representation, non-sexist language, and the responsible use of images and media materials in official documents, communications, and online platforms. Through interactive discussions and practical examples, participants gained valuable insights on creating communication materials that uphold dignity, respect, and equal representation for all.

As BFAR continues to mainstream Gender and Development (GAD) principles in its programs and operations, initiatives such as this contribute to building a more inclusive, gender-responsive, and equitable fisheries sector.

🔍 Strengthening Gender Mainstreaming in BFAR

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) successfully conducted the Gender Mainstreaming Evaluation Framework (GMEF) Reassessment Activity on June 9–11, 2026, in Angeles City, Pampanga.

The activity brought together GAD Focal Persons and GAD Secretariat members from the Central and Regional Offices to validate Means of Verification (MOVs), reassess the Bureau’s gender mainstreaming initiatives, and identify ways to further strengthen gender-responsive policies, programs, and institutional mechanisms.

Through this collaborative effort, BFAR continues to advance its commitment to gender equality, inclusive governance, and responsive public service.

Mabuhay ang bawat manggagawang Pilipino! 🫡

Ngayong Pandaigdigang Araw ng mga Manggagawa, patuloy nating binibigyang-pugay ang bawat manggagawang Pilipino sa kanilang mahalagang papel bilang haligi ng ating ekonomiya at ng buong bansa. Sa kanilang pagsusumikap at dedikasyon sa iba’t ibang industriya, larangan, at sektor, kinikilala natin ang kanilang kontribusyon bilang lakas na nagpapatakbo ng ating pag-unlad.

Sa lahat ng kababaihang patuloy na nagsusumikap at naglilingkod sa iba’t-ibang larangan at sektor—maraming salamat at pagpupugay sa inyo.
