𝐒𝐊 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠
The Quezon City Youth Development Office (QCYDO) organized a comprehensive Strategic Finance and Executive Leadership Training for all Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairpersons, along with their appointed SK Secretaries and Treasurers, pursuant to their functions as stipulated in Republic Act 10742, also known as the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015. The training was held at the Performing Arts Hall, Lucresia Kasilag Senior High School, Veterans Village, Quezon City. It covered various topics such as:
(1) Sangguniang Kabataan Annual Budget Guidelines;
(2) SK Financial Transactions and Accountability Reports;
(3) a review of lessons from the 1st SK Mandatory Training's topics, including NYC's topics on Leadership: Meetings and Resolution, Basic Planning and Budgeting, Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards, and SK History and Salient Features;
(4) Local Youth Development Plan
(5) Positive Youth Development Plan; and
(6) Enacting policies related to HIV, Teenage Pregnancy, Nutrition, Mental Health, and Gender and Development (GAD).
Our SK Chairman, SK Secretary, and SK Treasurer expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to enhance their skills especially in formulating development plans in financial matters and to extend their knowledge in addressing diverse needs of the youth. Rest assured that all the acquired learnings gained during the training will be actively applied and shared within our barangay youths to have positive growth among our young community members.
