To enhance development and provide effective and efficient management of inmates and personnel by crafting strategic plans, conducting significan

t studies and formulating relevant policies. OBJECTIVES:
• To strengthen research and program/policy formulation capacity and capability.
• To promote commercialization of research output/ livelihood projects.
• To develop human resource capacity and capability to conduct research, develop policies, programs and doctrines.
• To promote a culture for research, planning and program innovation/ development.
• To strengthen institutional framework for research and program development.
• To build competence for specialization in key plan emerging technologies related to jail management and inmate rehabilitation. FUNCTIONS:
• Assists the Chief, BJMP in the formulation and development of plans and programs to achieve the BJMP’s mission and objectives;
• Conducts research studies and gathers data for planning and programming purposes;
• Prepares position papers and recommends measures for the improvement of management processes in the BJMP;
• Coordinates with other staff in preparation of Operations Plan and Budget (OPB);
• Performs other functions as the Chief, BJMP may direct.
