During Secretary Tolentino's visit, DOLE released โ‚ฑ21.83 million under its Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program, including TUPAD, benefiting 2,650 disadvantaged workers.

The Department also distributed โ‚ฑ1.02 million in wages to 200 student-beneficiaries under the Special Program for Employment of Students, extended financial assistance to sugar workers affected by Typhoon Tino, and awarded scholarship grants to qualified dependents of workers' organizations.

Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) for Safety Officer 2 (SO2) is a 40-hour Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) training course prescribed by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in compliance with Department Order No. 252, Series of 2025 (DOLE D.O. 252-25) and Rule 1030 of the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS). It equips participants with the knowledge and skills required to qualify as Safety Officer 2 (SO2).

BOSH for SO1 is intended for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with less than 50 employees. This training consists of a 10-hour OSH orientation and a 2-hour Training of Trainers, designed to impart essential knowledge and skills on the basic concepts and principles of occupational safety and health. It aims to equip potential safety officers (SO1 certification) with the competence to effectively implement their respective companyโ€™s safety and health program.
