PNP CRACKS DOWN ON ILLEGAL ONLINE GAMING; 13 NABBED IN MUNTINLUPA OPERATION

The Philippine National Police (PNP), through the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), successfully carried out a court-ordered operation on June 15, 2026, in Ayala Alabang Village, Muntinlupa City, resulting in the arrest of a provincial most wanted person and twelve (12) other individuals allegedly involved in illegal online gaming activities.

The operation was implemented by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by a Quezon City court for violations of Republic Act No. 8484, in relation to Republic Act No. 10175. During the service of the warrant, operatives observed ongoing online gaming activity inside the premises, which prompted immediate police action in accordance with standard procedures and coordination protocols.

Authorities recovered and secured various ICT equipment such as desktop computers, laptops, mobile phones, storage devices, and other digital peripherals believed to have been used in the activity. These items were properly inventoried and documented in the presence of required witnesses, including barangay officials and security personnel, to ensure transparency and adherence to due process.

Initial verification with the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) indicated that the online platforms being accessed and utilized in the operation were not authorized, in line with existing regulations following the national prohibition on Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., commended the operatives for their swift and coordinated action, emphasizing that such operations reflect the organization’s commitment to uphold the law while respecting due process. “Patuloy po ang ating trabaho para masigurong ang batas ay naipatutupad nang maayos at walang sinasayang na pagkakataon para protektahan ang publiko,” he said.

He added that the PNP remains aligned with the national government’s broader direction under President Ferdinand R. FORMER REBELS AND CTG SUPPORTERS RETURN TO PEACEFUL LIFE, FI****MS SURRENDERED IN PNP-LED EFFORTS

The Philippine National Police, under the leadership of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., has reported a steady rise in former communist-linked supporters in Central Luzon voluntarily abandoning their affiliations and choosing to return to peaceful civilian life during a series of coordinated operations and community engagements held from June 16 to 18, 2026.

Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), together with partner security forces, local government units, and community stakeholders, facilitated the surrender and withdrawal of support of several individuals previously linked to organizations associated with the communist insurgency.

Among those who returned to the fold of the law were former CTG members identified by their aliases “Ka Jun” of Bataan and “Ping” of Aurora, who voluntarily surrendered and turned over fi****ms and other war materiel. In Tarlac, former AMBALA affiliate “Paco” also renounced his support and surrendered a homemade firearm.

Additional individuals who severed ties with the movement included “Boyong” of Pampanga, four former members of DAMAKKA in Nueva Ecija, ten members of the Liga ng Manggagawang Bukid (LMB) in Guimba, Nueva Ecija, and former affiliates of ANAKPAWIS in Olongapo City.

Authorities attributed the development to sustained community engagement, dialogue initiatives, and intelligence-driven police interventions under the government’s whole-of-nation approach in support of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), which continues to open pathways for reintegration and peaceful transformation.

As part of reintegration procedures, the former rebels and supporters underwent proper documentation and were provided initial assistance, including food packs and other government support services to help them transition back into their communities.

The PNP emphasized that continued cooperation between communities and law enforcement remains vital in sustaining peace and preventing further recruitment into insurgent-linked organizations.

“Patuloy nating hinihikayat ang mga naliligaw pa rin ng landas na talikuran ang karahasan at bumalik sa mapayapang pamumuhay kasama ang kanilang pamilya at komunidad,” said PGen Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr.

He added that sustained cooperation between communities and law enforcement remains vital in preventing further recruitment into insurgent-linked organizations and strengthening peace in affected areas.

“Ang kapayapaan ay mas nagiging matatag kapag ang bawat mamamayan ay nakikibahagi at nakikipagtulungan sa ating layunin para sa kaayusan,” he added.

The PNP Focus Agenda, a transformation-oriented framework aimed at improving police service delivery, highlights key priorities, particularly enhanced managing police operations and active community support, which align with strengthened community engagement and operational support efforts in ongoing peacebuilding and reintegration initiatives.

ILLEGAL LPG REFILLING OPS BUSTED IN LAGUNA; TWO ARRESTED, ₱8.2M WORTH OF GOODS SEIZED

Two individuals were arrested in a law enforcement operation conducted by the Philippine National Police (PNP) in San Pablo City, Laguna on June 18, 2026 for their alleged involvement in unauthorized activities related to liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) products.

Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Regional Field Unit 4A carried out a legitimate operation in Barangay San Ignacio, targeting the illegal sale, refilling, possession, and distribution of LPG cylinders bearing a registered trademark

The operation resulted in the seizure of assorted LPG cylinders, both filled and empty, along with decanting equipment, a weighing scale, and a truck tractor with trailer loaded with an estimated 19 tons of LPG. The total value of confiscated items is estimated at around ₱8.2 million.

All arrested individuals and recovered pieces of evidence are now under the custody of the operating unit for proper documentation and legal proceedings.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., lauded the operating unit for the swift and coordinated action, stressing that these efforts form part of the organization’s continuing drive to protect consumers and ensure fair trade practices. He also underscored that, in support of the directive of President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr., the PNP continues to intensify operations that safeguard public welfare through stronger law enforcement presence on the ground.

OVER ₱6.2M WORTH OF SMUGGLED CI******ES SEIZED IN ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE

The Philippine National Police (PNP) successfully intercepted a smuggling attempt during a checkpoint operation in the early morning of June 19, 2026 at Barangay Gatas, Kalawit, Zamboanga del Norte, resulting in the arrest of one individual and the recovery of more than ₱6.2 million worth of contraband ci******es concealed inside a cargo vehicle.

The operation was conducted by personnel of the 2nd Platoon, 2nd Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company, manning a border control point in coordination with the Kalawit Municipal Police Station and the Police Intelligence Unit of Zamboanga del Norte Police Provincial Office.

A white Isuzu Elf truck was flagged down after exhibiting suspicious movement and an attempt to evade inspection. During routine verification, operating personnel discovered approximately 105 cases and 230 reams of assorted ci******es concealed among boxes of dried fish inside the vehicle. The driver was arrested on the spot following the discovery, in line with violations of Article 151 of the Revised Penal Code, Republic Act 10643, and Republic Act 10863 or the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.

The confiscated goods, along with the vehicle used in the transport, were immediately secured and placed under proper custody pending inventory and turnover to the Bureau of Customs for proper disposition. The total estimated value of the seized items is ₱6,280,080 based on standard valuation.

Chief PNP Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. commended the operating units for their vigilance and quick response, underscoring the importance of sustained checkpoint and border control operations in preventing the entry of illegal goods into communities. “We remain firm in our mandate to stop illegal activities at the earliest possible opportunity. PNP ADVANCES COMMUNITY PEACE EFFORTS, WELCOMES 10 EX-SFO MEMBERS’ COMMITMENT IN AKLAN

The Philippine National Police (PNP) continues to sustain its peacebuilding and community engagement initiatives following a Local Peace Engagement activity held this morning, June 19, 2026, at the Aklan Police Provincial Office (PPO) Conference Hall inside Camp Pastor Martelino, Kalibo, Aklan.

The activity was highlighted by the Oath of Voluntary Cooperation and signing of commitment of ten individuals who were formerly associated with sectoral front organizations (SFO). They have formally expressed withdrawal from previous affiliations and reaffirmed their commitment to support peaceful, lawful, and community-centered participation moving forward. The initiative underscores the government’s continuing efforts to promote reconciliation, social inclusion, and long-term peace at the grassroots level.

OFW NAAKSIDENTE, SINAKLOLOHAN NG ISABELA PULIS

Sa isang ordinaryong umaga sa Alicia, Isabela, naging makabuluhan ang biyahe papasok sa tungkulin ng dalawang pulis matapos nilang matulungan ang isang Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) na naaksidente sa kalsada.

Sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., patuloy na pinaiigting ng Philippine National Police ang pagbibigay ng agarang tulong sa mga insidente sa kalsada bilang bahagi ng kanilang tungkulin sa publiko.

Kinilala ang mga pulis na sina PCMS Joanne V. Apostol ng Santiago City Police Office at PCpl Elmer Tomas ng Jones Police Station na kapwa papasok sana sa duty nang mapadaan sa Bypass Road, Brgy. San Fernando, Alicia, Isabela. Agad nilang pinuntahan ang pinangyarihan ng aksidente at tumulong sa OFW at isa pang pasahero na nasugatan habang hinihintay ang mga emergency responder.

Batay sa imbestigasyon, bandang 7:50 ng umaga noong Hunyo 19, 2026, binabagtas ng sasakyan na minamaneho ng isang OFW ang kalsadang patungong hilaga nang mawalan ito ng kontrol sa kurbada. Dahil dito, lumihis ang sasakyan at nahulog sa palayan, dahilan upang magtamo ng minor injuries ang driver at pasahero na agad dinala sa ospital ng mga rumespondeng rescue personnel.

“Our duty goes beyond time and place. We are always ready to help those in need. Ang serbisyo ng pulis ay serbisyong may malasakit at pananagutan,” pahayag ni PNP Chief PGEN Nartatez.

Sa kabuuan, ipinakita ng Santiago City Police Office ang patuloy na kahandaan ng kapulisan na tumulong sa anumang insidente sa kalsada at sa pangangalaga sa kaligtasan ng publiko.
