A Gender and Development (GAD) Orientation was successfully conducted on April 24, 2025, in Floridablanca, Pampanga, bringing crucial insights on gender equality and inclusive community development to local farmers.

The said orientation led by Gender and Development Focal Point System was part of the Specialized Pest Management System Training spearheaded by the Integrated Laboratories Division โ€“ Regional Crop Protection Center.

Farmers actively participated in the orientation, which aimed to raise awareness on the importance of integrating gender perspectives in agricultural development and community programs.

The session emphasized the role of both men and women in achieving equitable access to resources, opportunities, and decision-making processes in the agricultural sector.

The activity highlights the continued commitment of government agencies to mainstream gender responsiveness in rural development, ensuring that no one is left behind in the pursuit of agricultural progress and sustainability.

โ€œDirector Annray commends the implementation initiatives and data presented by each region yesterday, clearly showing that women are not just passive recipients but active beneficiaries and changemakers in the SAAD Program, both from Phase 1 and now in Phase 2.

Let us all be reminded that we are not just implementing programs, we are transforming lives. We are not merely counting numbers, we are shaping futures.

Through our collective action, we are helping the least, the last, and the lost to break free from invisibility and claim their rightful place as leaders, farmers, and changemakers in our communities.โ€
