Quirino Province โ The Peace Process and Development Center (PPDC) participated in the Transformation Program (TP) Planning Workshop under the Localized Peace Engagement (LPE) initiative of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), conducted by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU) from May 25 to 26, 2026, at the Quirino Watersports Complex.
The activity aimed to formulate a comprehensive Provincial Transformation Plan that addresses the needs of Former Rebels (FRs), their families, and conflict-affected communities through sustainable, inclusive, and community-driven programs. It also served as a platform for collaboration among NTF-ELCAC member-agencies to harmonize efforts, align interventions, and strengthen partnerships in advancing the government's peace, reconciliation, and development agenda.
As a key component of the government's peace process, the Localized Peace Engagement (LPE) mechanism promotes dialogue, trust-building, and the peaceful resolution of conflicts, while the Transformation Program provides pathways for the reintegration and empowerment of former rebels through responsive social, economic, and developmental interventions.
Through unity, collaboration, and a whole-of-government approach, PPDC remains committed to supporting initiatives that foster peacebuilding, strengthen community resilience, and ensure the successful reintegration of Former Rebels into society, contributing to a more peaceful, progressive, and inclusive Quirino Province.
