TITLE: CLOSING CEREMONY of FIRST TRAINING PERIOD, CY-2026 LOGISTICS COURSES AND SPECIALIZATION
The First Training Period CY-2026: Empowering the Next Generation of Logisticians
The First Training Period CY-2026 on Logistics Courses and Specialization is a framework designed to equip experienced professionals with the skills needed to become effective logisticians, technicians, and innovators. This program enables them to enhance unit sustainability in direct support of their respective operations.
COL CHRISTINE MARIE P. BAYAONA PA (GSC), Acting Commander of the AFPLSC, expressed her deep appreciation to the Logistics School, Individual Training Group (ITG) of the Training Command, Philippine Army, for the invitation to serve as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. The Closing Ceremony for the First Training Period, CY-2026, was held on April 24, 2026, at the Logistics School, Fort Ramon Magsaysay, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija.
In her address, COL BAYAONA extended her sincere gratitude to COL LOWEN D. AUDAL (GSC) PA, Commandant of the Logistics School; MAJ BERNADITH P TAGLE (QMS) PA, Assistant Commandant, MAJ FRANCIS F. HERNAEZ (QMS) PA, Head of the Academic Department/Chief Logistics Section; and the students of CLOAC CL 49-26, OSNCOAC CL 70-26, QMSNCOAC CL 59-26, OSNCOBC CL 107 & 108-26, QMSNCOBC CL 87-26, AEMC CL 02-26, and AMRC CL 10-26.
Congratulating the graduates, she shared three vital insights to guide them in their duties, focusing specifically on logistics sustainability:
1. Understand Your Foundation: She emphasized the importance of knowing the mandates, duties, and responsibilities inherent in being a logistics leader and a technician.
2. The Value of Collaboration: She reminded graduates that technical skill is only half the battle. Success in the service often depends on the ability to work effectively with others.
3. Stay Curious and Disciplined: She encouraged them to stay informed on evolving technology, maintain strict discipline in maintenance schedules, and never lose the "grease-under-the-fingernails" work ethic. "The systems you manage are complex," she noted, "but your mission is simple: Ensure the weapon never fails the warrior."
Drawing inspiration from T.S. Eliot, COL BAYAONA concluded:
“What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from.”
She reminded the graduates that in military logistics, the "end" of a supply chain is the beginning of an offensive, and the "end" of a maintenance cycle is the start of combat power.
"The books are closing, but the movement order is just beginning," she stated. "Mission first, Logisticians always."
