The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) participated in the Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, and Valenzuela (CaMaNaVa) Barangay Forum organized by the DENR Metropolitan Environmental Office - North on 29 July 2026 at 6T Santiago, Brgy. Canumay West, Valenzuela City.
MWSS presented its accomplishments as of June 2026 in support of the Supreme Court Mandamus, highlighting 93% water service coverage, 33% sewerage service coverage, and 71% sanitation coverage. MWSS also emphasized the 57% acceptance rate for sewerage connections, highlighting the important role of barangays in encouraging communities to connect to available sewerage services.
MWSS remained committed to strengthening collaboration with national government agencies, LGUs, Concessionaires, and barangays to advance sewerage and sanitation services, improve wastewater management, and protect water quality in the CaMaNaVa area and Manila Bay.
