IN ACTION | SK National President CJ Dalipe presides over the 3rd Quarter Sangguniang Kabataan Regional Task Force Meeting at the Cebu Provincial Capitol.

The meeting was attended by SK Presidents and stakeholder representatives, with the assistance of NYC Area Officer for Cebu City Ms. Cherry Mae Malate and her team.

The meeting provided a platform to discuss updates, raise concerns, and lobby for key issues concerning the Sangguniang Kabataan and its stakeholders, strengthening coordination and collaboration toward responsive and effective youth governance.

The 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗡𝗬𝗖) invites and enjoins 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 (𝗦𝗞) 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 and 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 (𝗟𝗬𝗗𝗢𝘀) to participate in the 𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 (𝐏𝐒𝐊𝐀). PSKA is the premiere search for outstanding SKs and LYDOs organized by the 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 (𝗣𝗬𝗗𝗡).

Carrying the theme, “𝗔𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘄 𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗮”, the 7th PSKA encapsulates youth leadership as both a legacy and a future promise. This platform recognizing and celebrating excellence, innovative projects, and exemplary leadership in local youth governance is more than just a celebration, it serves as a critical national repository for collecting, documenting, and preserving the institutional knowledge and best practices across the country.

📢 SK Advisory No. 2026-P011

The National Youth Commission (NYC) has issued SK Advisory No. 2026-P011, entitled "Reiteration on the Strict Compliance with DBM–DILG–NYC Joint Memorandum Circular No. 1, s. of 2025, on the Appropriation, Release, Planning, and Budgeting of Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Funds."

This Advisory reiterates the policies governing the release, deposit, management, and accountability of SK Funds. It also provides guidance on the timely and automatic release of SK funds, the establishment of SK current accounts, the proper handling of funds in the absence of a bank account or quorum, and the responsibilities of both barangay and SK officials in ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance with existing laws and issuances.

All SK Officials, Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) Members, and Local Youth Development Officers (LYDOs) are encouraged to review the Advisory and ensure strict compliance with the applicable guidelines on the management and utilization of SK Funds.
