Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an intensive leadership experience organized by Rotary clubs and districts where you develop your skills as a leader while having fun and making connections. Thru RYLA, the youth connect with leaders in their community and around the world to: build communication and problem-solving skills; discover strategies for becoming a dynamic leader in your school or
community; learn from community leaders, inspirational speakers and peer mentors; unlock your potential to turn motivation into action and have fun and form lasting friendships. Boy Mendoza and Governor Tony Pascual, the District 3780 RYLA Program was designed by the Rotary Club of Paraiso to include the 4-letter acronym: S-T-A-R. Selection of leadership training awardees by sponsoring Rotary club;
Training camp or seminar by host Rotary club;
Action plan on community service project to be implemented by awardees with help of sponsor Rotary club. Effective community or school projects and organization of new Interact or Rotaract Clubs resulted from successful RYLA action plan implementation. Recently, we modified this into Activity of service during the camp;
And finally, the Recognition with RYLA certificate by sponsor Rotary Club.
