The Optical Media Board joins the Anti-Red Tape Authority as they celebrate the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month this May 2026.

In support of the 2026 EODB Month Celebration with the theme, “Achieving Results through Transparency and Accountability (ARTA): Towards a More Productive Bagong Pilipinas,” we highlight the importance of transparency, accountability, and innovation in delivering efficient public service and fostering a more productive nation.

May was declared as the National Ease of Doing Business Month pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 818, s. 2025.

Lawyer Marimel Porciuncuula, OIC Director of the Department of Trade and Industry’s Fair Trade Enforcement Bureau and Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines Supervising Deputy Director General lawyer Nathaniel Arevalo lead the ribbon cutting for the launch of the National Committee on Intellectual Property Rights Help Desk at the 4th floor of VMall in Greenhills in San Juan City on Monday (April 20, 2026).

Arevelo, who is also the NCIPR Vice-chair, underscored the importance of having the Help Desk to protect intellectual property rights and address counterfeiting in the country.

The Optical Media Board joins the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines as they celebrate the National Intellectual Property Month (NIPM) for the year 2026.

With this year’s theme, “IP in Sports: Ready, Set, Innovate!”, we highlight the vital role of intellectual property in driving creativity and innovation in the world of sports—from game-changing technologies to original content and athletic branding.

April was declared as the National Intellectual Property Month pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 190, s.2017.

Makiisa sa pagdiriwang ng Safer Internet Day (SID) for Children Philippines sa darating na ika-10 ng Pebrero 2026!

Ang SID ay isang internasyonal na pagdiriwang na isinasagawa taun-taon upang isulong ang ligtas at responsableng paggamit ng internet lalo na sa mga kabataan. Mula nang ilunsad ito noong 2004, higit sa 100 na bansa na ang nakiisa sa pagdiriwang ito upang palaganapin ang kamalayan tungkol sa kahalagahan ng digital literacy at online safety. Sa Pilipinas, ang SID ay opisyal na kinikilala ng Proklamasyon Blg. 417 na idinidedeklara ang ikalawang martes ng Pebrero bilang Safer Internet Day para sa mga Batang Pilipino.

Ang tema ng taong ito na, “Ako, Ikaw, Tayo: Konektado at Protektado Laban sa OSAEC at CSAEM”, ay nagbibigay diin sa kahalagahan ng sama-samang pagtutulungan ng buong bansa upang lumikha ng mas ligtas na digital space para sa kabataang Pilipino.
