11 Sep 2026- The Dental Service Center, Armed Forces of the Philippines (DSC, AFP) welcomed Centro Escolar University (CEU) School of Dentistry students for their hospital dentistry internship and clinical exposure at V. Luna General Hospital.

The activity provided the dental interns with valuable exposure to hospital-based dentistry and the role of the AFP Dental Service in supporting the health and readiness of military personnel.

In support of the Office of the Chief Dental Service, the DSC, AFP continues to actively engage with academic institutions through activities such as this to encourage and recruit future Dental Officers and civilian dentists who may contribute their knowledge, skills, and commitment to the AFP Dental Service.

Today’s dental students, tomorrow’s professionals in service to the nation. 🫡🦷🇵🇭

On 03 September 2026, the Dental Service Center, AFP conducted a familiarization training for the newly acquired Dental Microscope which provides accurate details that further enhances the capability in providing quality dental care for our patients.

On 27 August 2026, the Dental Service Center, AFP (DSC, AFP) in support of the Office of the Chief, Dental Service, conducted a briefing for newly Ordered-to-Duty (OTD) Dental Officers and Probationary Second Lieutenants (P2LTs) of the AFP Dental Service (AFPDS).

The activity provided essential insights into the AFPDS, military administration, and the role of the DSC, AFP followed by a facility tour of the V Luna Dental Dispensary to familiarize the officers with its operations and dental services.

The activity aims to prepare our young dental officers for their future assignments, responsibilities, and field deployments.

On 25 August 2026, the Dental Center, AFP conducted an actual hands-on demonstration by Aseptico Inc. on the proper assembly and disassembly of the Field-Grade Dental Chair.

The training enhanced personnel’s technical knowledge and readiness in setting up and maintaining essential dental equipment, strengthening our capability to deliver efficient, reliable, and mission-ready dental care anytime, anywhere.

“Advancing Dental Care Through Continuous Learning”

On 25 August 2026, the Dental Center, AFP conducted the Hands-On Workshop on Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT), the second part of its CBCT Training.

Led by Subject Matter Expert 1LT KHRISTER ANN LEYGO DS, the workshop strengthened personnel’s knowledge and skills in utilizing CBCT for accurate diagnosis, precise treatment planning, and better patient outcomes.

Dental Service Center, AFP BLS Ready! 🚑🦷

On 16–17 July 2026, the DSC, AFP, in partnership with the Nursing Service, V Luna General Hospital, MC, AFP successfully conducted a Basic Life Support Training for the personnel of the DSC, AFP and V Luna Dental Dispensary.

Because being ready goes beyond providing great dental care. 💪 From the dental chair to emergency situations, our team is now better equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond when every second counts.
