𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: Jail Chief Superintendent Filipinas T. Fulgencio, Chairperson, Committee on Decorum and Investigation (CODI), together with Jail Senior Superintendent Rebecca Manalo-Tiguelo, Chairperson, BJMP GFPS-TWG, proudly participates in the Committee on Decorum and Investigation (CODI) Summit 2026, organized by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW).

Held on August 13, 2026 at SMX Convention Center Aura, Taguig City, the summit is anchored on the theme: "Tindig Babaylan, Pang-aabuso’y Wakasan!" CODI 2026 gathers advocates for safe, respectful, and gender-responsive workplaces.

Through this engagement, the BJMP reinforces its commitment to strengthen workplace anti-harassment protocols, uphold accountability, and promote integrity, equality, and professionalism across all jail facilities.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: 𝗙𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥-𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗬 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡
The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), through the Gender and Development Technical Working Group (GAD TWG), warmly welcomed the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) – Coast Guard Gender and Development Center (CGGADC) during their courtesy visit today at the BJMP National Headquarters.

The visit served as an opportunity to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and exchange best practices on Gender and Development (GAD), and gender mainstreaming initiatives.

The BJMP extends its sincere appreciation to the Philippine Coast Guard, headed by CAPT. JOELIZA B. PERIO, PCG (GSC), Director, Coast Guard Gender and Development Center, and her team for sharing their valuable insights, experiences, and best practices. We look forward to sustaining this partnership as we continue to uphold our shared commitment to advancing gender equality and empowering our personnel and stakeholders.

Ang BJMP Gender and Development ay nakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng Araw ng mga Ama, bilang pagkilala sa mahalagang papel ng bawat Tatay, Daddy, Dad, at Papa! 👨‍👧‍👦💙

Sa pangunguna ng Command Group, saludo kami sa inyo mga ama na buong tapang at pagmamahal na ginagampanan ang dobleng tungkulin: bilang tagapangalaga ng kapayapaan at kaayusan sa loob ng ating mga piitan, at bilang haligi ng pagmamahal at proteksyon sa inyong tahanan.

Patuloy na ipagdiwang ang papel ng kalalakihan sa pamilya at sa lipunan, dahil ang pagiging mabuting ama ay isa rin sa mga pinakatunay na tanda ng pagkalalake, pantay na pagtingin, paggalang, at pagmamahal.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: The BJMP, participated in a Gender Sensitization Workshop organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) with title “Gender Sensitization for Effective Jail Management and Rehabilitation of Violent Extremist Offenders (VEOs)” on June 15, 2026 at Marco Polo Ortigas.

The activity was attended by participants from the BJMP Gender and Development (GAD), BJMPRO National Capital Region (BJMPRO-NCR) and selected jail units.

This aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of gender sensitivity and its importance in detention, rehabilitation, and reintegration programs.

Together, let’s build a more gender-responsive jail service. 💜

On March 18, 2026, the BJMP GAD, led by Chief, BJMP and GAD Focal Person, JDIR RUEL S RIVERA, DSC, through JCSUPT Filipinas Tiqui Fulgencio, Chairperson of BJMP GAD Technical Working Group, conducted Juana’s Fair event as part of the activities of the 2026 National Women's Month at the National Headquarters.

It was also attended by JCSUPT EFREN A NEMEÑO, DPA, TLPE, Deputy Chief for Operations of the Jail Bureau; JCSUPT CLINT RUSSEL A TANGERES, CESE, Chief of Directorial Staff of the Jail Bureau; Officer and Non-Officer Ranks, and non-uniformed personnel of the BJMP NHQ.

The fair gave personnel the opportunity to showcase their products, services, and talents, while also creating avenues for additional income and promoting financial independence.

On March 6, 2026, the BJMP GAD, led by Chief, BJMP and GAD Focal Person, JDIR RUEL S RIVERA, DSC, through JCSUPT Filipinas Tiqui Fulgencio, Chairperson of BJMP GAD Technical Working Group, attended the 2026 National Women's Month Kickoff Ceremony of the Philippine Commission on Women held at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Malate, Manila.

This year’s sub-theme, “Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas,” highlights the leadership and contributions of women in the Philippines and across the ASEAN region. It aims to promote programs that support gender equality, ensure women have fair access to decision-making roles, and encourage collaboration among different sectors to create meaningful change both nationally and regionally.

Also present in the event were JCSUPT LEONALYN OLOAN, and Ms. Sarah Pana of BJMP Multi-Purpose Cooperative GAD Committee, and members of the BJMP GAD TWG.
