𝑷𝑫𝑨𝑶 𝑼𝑷𝑫𝑨𝑻𝑬𝑺 | Ligtas na naihatid ng QC PDAO, katuwang ang Barangay Payatas, ang isang Person with Disability na natagpuan sa nasabing barangay.

Sa pamamagitan ng agarang pagresponde at pakikipag-ugnayan, matagumpay siyang naihatid pabalik sa kanyang pamilya sa Montalban, Rizal.

Patuloy ang QC PDAO sa pag-abot at pagtiyak na ang ating mga Persons with Disabilities ay ligtas, protektado, at nabibigyan ng serbisyong may malasakit para sa bawat QCitizen.

Patuloy na isinusulong ng QC PDAO ang pagbibigay ng assistive devices para sa mga kwalipikadong Persons with Disabilities sa Quezon City.

𝑷𝑫𝑨𝑶 𝑼𝑷𝑫𝑨𝑻𝑬𝑺 | Sumailalim sa 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 ang mga kawani ng Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA).

Sa pagsasanay na ito, kanilang natutunan ang wastong pakikitungo, epektibong komunikasyon, at iba’t ibang paraan upang maging mas inklusibo at accessible ang kanilang lugar ng trabaho para sa lahat.

Ito ay bahagi ng patuloy na pagsisikap ng Lungsod Quezon na maisulong ang isang komunidad na namumutawi ang pagkakapantay-pantay para sa lahat.

Statement of the Quezon City Government

The Quezon City Persons with Disability Affairs Office (QC-PDAO) is coordinating with the Pasay City local government following a viral incident involving a person with disability at National Bookstore, SM North EDSA, Quezon City.

The QC-PDAO is also reaching out to the family of the Pasay City resident to offer all appropriate assistance within its mandate, including access to legal support and other available services.

We support the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) in its efforts to establish the facts and resolve the matter swiftly, fairly, and in accordance with the law.

The QC-PDAO reiterates that no person—including persons with disabilities—should ever be subjected to abuse, degrading treatment, or any form of inhumane conduct. Every individual is entitled to dignity, respect, safety, and protection.

The Quezon City Government remains firmly committed to upholding the rights and welfare of persons with disabilities and to ensuring that they receive the assistance and protection they deserve.

Bilang paggunita sa buhay, sakripisyo, at kabayanihan ni dating Senador Benigno “Ninoy” S. Aquino Jr., ang Agosto 21, 2026 (Biyernes) ay idineklarang Special Non-Working Holiday sa buong bansa alinsunod sa Republic Act No. 9256.

The Quezon City Persons with Disability Affairs Office (QCPDAO) brought its commitment to inclusive employment to the international stage as the “Kasama Ka Sa Kyusi: Inclusive Employment Program” was presented at the 11th World Disability and Rehabilitation Conference (WDRC) 2026 in Bali, Indonesia.

QCPDAO Head Ms. Deborah C. Dacanay presented the program highlights Quezon City’s efforts to create meaningful employment opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and strengthen their participation in the workforce.

The international recognition shows how local initiatives can contribute to broader efforts toward equality, accessibility, and inclusive development.

Quezon City was also recognized as one of this year’s awardees of the “Extraordinary Disability Inclusive City Government” award at the NCDA Biennial Recognition Awards Program, highlighting its continuing efforts to advance accessibility, inclusion, and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities.

The National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) recognizes Quezon City’s efforts in championing inclusive employment and bringing a local disability-inclusive initiative to the international platform.
