The Office of Civil Defense National Capital Region (OCD NCR) Regional Director George F. Keyser attended a coordination meeting with Rev. Fr. Ramon Jade Licuanan, Rector and Parish Priest of the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Jesus Nazareno; Dir. Arnel Eustacio Angeles of the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (Manila DRRMD); Mr. Christopher B**g Grajo, Operations Director of Nazareno 2027; and Mr. Johnny Yu, Chairperson of the Civil Defense Action Group (CDAG), Inc. on 3 September 2026 at the City of Manila DRRM Office.

The discussions focused on initiating preparedness measures and coordination toward the development of the overall response to emergencies in relation to the Nazareno 2027 Traslacion. This initiative underscores the commitment of OCD NCR, in collaboration with the Manila LGU, Quiapo Church, CDAG Inc. and other partner agencies to strengthen disaster preparedness, coordination, and operational readiness toward a safe and well-coordinated conduct of the Nazareno 2027 Traslacion.

Based on the latest DOST-PAGASA 72-hour rainfall forecast, residents in listed areas and those nearby or downstream are urged to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions. Forecasts use GSM (50 mm) and WRF (50mm) rainfall thresholds. These thresholds may vary depending on ground conditions.

Batay sa pinakabagong 72-oras na rainfall forecast ng DOST-PAGASA, ang mga residente sa nakalistang mga lugar at sa malapit o sa ibaba ng mga ito ay hinihikayat na manatiling alerto at handa. Ang mga forecast ay gumagamit ng GSM (50 mm) at WRF (50 mm) na rainfall thresholds. Ang mga threshold ay maaaring i-adjust batay sa ground conditions.
