The LTIA National Awards Committee (NAC) successfully convened its 2nd Quarterly Meeting on June 16, 2026, at the headquarters of the Liga ng mga Barangay ng Pilipinas in Pasig City.

The meeting was presided over by Undersecretary for Special Concerns Atty. Teddy Sandy S. Raval, serving as the Alternate Representative of NAC Chairperson, SILG Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla.

NAC members and their representatives who attended the meeting includes Exec. Dir. Atty. Jose Ma R. Palaganas of the DOJ - Office for Alternative Dispute Resolution; ASEC Floreida Apolinario of the Office of the President; PBGen Vina Guzman of the Philippine National Police; and representatives from the Liga ng mga Barangay ng Pilipinas, including NCR Regional President Darwin Fernandez and Director for Good Governance Jose Maria Rodriguez, who hosted the meeting.

The NAC also welcomed this year’s private sector partners: Executive Director Jhon Robert O. Ko of Mediators Network for Sustainable Peace, Inc. (MEDNET) and Pres. Rodel A. Taton of the Philippine Institute for Dispute Resolution and Arbitration (PIDRA), who will serve as the LTIA Private Sector Representatives for this year.

During the session, National Board of Judges (NBOJ) Chairperson and Officer-in-Charge of the BLGS, Atty. Rolynne A. Javier, presented the results of the assessment of 38,995 barangays, equivalent to 92.82% of the total 42,010 barangays nationwide, based on this year’s LTIA criteria.

Following the presentation, the NAC officially declared the shortlisted barangays across the seven (7) LTIA award categories that will undergo the CY 2026 National Onsite Validation.
