Nakakalungkot mawalan ng isang kasamahan na naglaan ng malaking bahagi ng kanyang buhay sa serbisyong publiko at sa paglilingkod sa mga Palawenyo, lalo na sa ating mga kababayan sa Hilagang Palawan. Ang kanyang dedikasyon, malasakit at mga naiambag sa ating lalawigan ay mananatiling bahagi ng kanyang alaala at pamana.

Pahinga ka na Pay Ging, Pahinga na.

Masakit tanggapin ang pagkawala ng isang taong hindi lamang naging bahagi ng aming tanggapan, kundi naging katuwang sa paglilingkod sa ating mga kababayan.

Sa loob ng iyong mga taon ng serbisyo, hindi lamang ang 2nd District ng Palawan ang iyong pinaglingkuran. Ang buong lalawigan ng Palawan ay nakinabang sa iyong sipag, malasakit at tapat na pagtulong sa kapwa.

Marami mang hindi nakakita sa mga sakripisyong ginawa mo, alam naming hindi mo kailanman inuna ang sarili mo. Ang mahalaga sa iyo ay makatulong, makapaglingkod at magawa ang iyong tungkulin para sa mga Palaweño.

Salamat sa lahat ng taon ng pagsasama, sa iyong dedikasyon at sa bawat pagkakataong pinili mong maglingkod kahit mahirap at nakakapagod.

Many Filipino families work hard to pay their monthly electricity bills, so any chance to lower the cost is important. During an interview on Bilyonaryo News Channel, House Committee on Energy Chairperson Congressman Jose Chavez Alvarez said that Congress is studying ways to make electricity more affordable without affecting the quality and reliability of service. He explained that the government, power companies, and consumers must work together to find solutions that will benefit everyone.

One proposal is to review the system loss charge, which is the cost of electricity lost while power travels through transmission and distribution lines. Congressman Alvarez said this could be reduced by removing the VAT on system loss, improving power facilities, and reviewing existing laws with the help of different stakeholders. He also stressed the need to invest in renewable energy, hydropower, biomass, and other reliable energy sources so that Filipino communities can enjoy a more stable, sustainable, and affordable supply of electricity in the future.

INAUGURATION OF THE ENERGY MUSUEM AND THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ELECTRIC POWER INDUSTRY REFORM ACT

On July 29, 2026, the Department of Energy (DOE) officially opened the Energy Museum at the DOE Energy Center in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, as part of the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Electric Power Industry Reform Act (EPIRA). The event highlighted the country's efforts to improve the energy sector and provide a safe, reliable, and steady supply of electricity for Filipino families and communities. Cong. Jose Chaves Alvarez, Chairperson of the House Committee on Energy, was among the invited guests who attended the event together with President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

The new Energy Museum gives people of all ages a chance to learn about the history of energy in the Philippines, how electricity is produced, and why saving energy is important. Through interactive exhibits and educational displays, the museum encourages everyone to use energy wisely, care for the environment, and work together to help build a cleaner, brighter, and more sustainable future for every community.
