🤝 BUILDING BRIDGES FOR REHABILITATION & REINTEGRATION!

As part of its ongoing dedication to supporting community-based rehabilitation and reintegration of our clients, On July 24, 2026, personnel from Palawan Parole and Probation Office No. 1 Led by Chief Probation and Parole Officer (CPPO) Evangeline M. Lebante, conducted a series of strategic coordination meetings in the Municipality of Taytay, Palawan, in full preparation for the upcoming Livelihood and Education Access Program (LEAP) Batch II.

To ensure the seamless delivery and multi-sectoral support for the program, the team met with key local partners and leaders:

Office of the Municipal Mayor: Courtesy call and coordination meeting with Mayor Norbert Lim to strengthen local government support for client rehabilitation initiatives.

Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO): Coordination for social support mechanisms and client assistance services.

DepEd-Alternative Learning System (ALS): Discussion with the ALS Public Schools District Supervisor to integrate education and skills-building opportunities for prospective program beneficiaries.

This coordination meetings also highlights and provided a detailed overview of the agency's current focus: rehabilitation and community-based supervision programs for probationers and parolees residing in the municipality. It emphasized the commitment in guiding these individuals towards a successful reintegration into society.

A significant point of discussion centered around the Livelihood and Education Access Program (LEAP). The DOJ-PPA Palawan PPO No 1 explored potential collaborations with the Local Government Unit (LGU) to expand access to livelihood opportunities, education, and skills development training for qualified probationers and parolees in Taytay.

Further, this coordination meeting also served as a valuable platform for dialogue and information sharing, strengthening the partnership between the DOJ-PPA and the Local Government of Taytay.

Through continuous collaboration with LGU Taytay and local stakeholders, Palawan PPO No. 1 remains steadfast in its commitment to empowering clients, fostering community reintegration, and promoting restorative justice.

In celebration of the Department of Justice – Parole and Probation Administration (DOJ-PPA) 50th Anniversary, the personnel of Palawan Parole and Probation Office No. 1, headed by our Chief Probation and Parole Officer Ma'am Evangeline M. Lebante together with our clients (parolees and probationers), came together for a meaningful mangrove tree-planting activity in Brgy. San Nicolas, Roxas, Palawan on July 23, 2026! 🌊

🤝 Collaborative Effort for Coastal Protection
With generous support from DENR, LGU of Roxas, Roxas MENRO, and other partner agencies , which provided the mangrove propagules and technical assistance, participants worked hand-in-hand to strengthen coastal protection, promote environmental stewardship, and build community resilience.

More than just planting trees, this effort reflects our commitment to protecting our shorelines, restoring lives, and leaving a greener, more resilient legacy for future generations. Every mangrove planted is a step toward a sustainable future! 💚
