LOOK|| On 17 October 2025, the 573rd Civil Engineering Squadron successfully concluded a two-day in-house training on Refrigeration and Air Conditioning systems, with participants from Antonio Bautista Air Base(ABAB) and Western Command units. The training combined theoretical discussions with hands-on practical sessions, giving all participants the opportunity to perform exercises individually. Upon completion, all attendees received certificates of completion. This training directly supports the squadron’s mandate to maintain base facilities, enhancing the technical capabilities of personnel to ensure refrigeration and air conditioning systems remain operational and efficient across all installations.

PAF NEWS | PAF HOSTS 3RD QUARTER AFP INSPECTOR GENERAL’S SERVICE FORUM CY-2025

The Philippine Air Force, through the Office of the Air Force Inspector General (OAFIG) led by Major General Thad Rufino P Candelario PAF, Air Force Inspector General, hosted the 3rd Quarter Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Inspector General's Service (IGS) Forum for CY 2025 on October 14, 2025, at the PAF Firing Range, Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City. The event was presided over by Lieutenant General Augustine S Malinit PAF, The Inspector General, AFP.

The forum is attended and participated in by Major General Christopher C Tampus PA, Inspector General, Philippine Army; Colonel Frederick G Baradi PN(M) (MNSA), Deputy Naval Inspector General; and key staff members from the Major Services and the OTIG, AFP, through face-to-face setting. Meanwhile, Inspector Generals of Unified Commands and AFP-Wide Service Support Units (AFPWSSUs), Operations Officers of Major Services, and Executive Officers of Joint Staffs joined virtually. This activity aimed to discuss updates, share insights, and strengthen inter-service coordination.

Key presentations highlighted ongoing initiatives and developments within the Major Service Inspectorates. A highlight of the event was the awarding of IGS badges to PAF personnel from different IG Units/Office for their exemplary leadership and contributions.

In his remarks, Lieutenant General Malinit underscored the importance of integrity, accountability, and collaboration in sustaining the AFP’s commitment to good governance and operational excellence.

The event concluded with a Fellowship Fun Shoot at the PAF Firing Range, fostering camaraderie and teamwork among participants. Through this engagement, the PAF continues to exemplify its dedication to good governance, transparency, and organizational excellence, further strengthening the collective efforts of the AFP Inspector General community.

PAF NEWS | PAF AIDS NDRRMC IN DAVAO EARTHQUAKE ASSESSMENT

The Philippine Air Force (PAF), through the Tactical Operations Wing Eastern Mindanao (TOWEASTMIN), supported the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) in conducting an aerial damage assessment over Davao Oriental on October 13, 2025.

Usec. Harold N. Cabreros, OCD Administrator and NDRRMC Executive Director, joined the aerial survey aboard a PAF S-70i Black Hawk helicopter from Davao Air Station to Tarragona, Davao Oriental, to evaluate the impact of the recent earthquake that struck the region.

The mission highlights the PAF’s swift response and continued commitment to humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations in support of national recovery efforts.
